Thanksgiving getaway
Family gathered for a fabulous thanksgiving break. Thoroughly enjoyed the dock, hot tub and long walks around the property. Absolutely loved our stay here. Even the dog would like to go back next year! Thanks Tom for sharing your beautiful property with us.

Long weekend with family
Plenty of space for 12 of us. Comfortable and accommodating. One family member is mobility challenged and was able to enjoy the property; no-step entry, seat in shower, no step out to the back (hot tub) deck, driveable down to dock. Kids ages 8-14 swam, fished canoed and loved the treehouse!

Amazing Property
The home was amazing. Tom is a great host. They let us check in early and leave late. Everything was taken care of before we arrived. The ice maker on the fridge didn’t work, which would normally be annoying, but Tom had many many bags of ice for us to use, which just goes to show you that Tom takes care of any issue before it’s a problem. We would love to rent this house every year forever if we could.

Family fun with lots to do
The property is perfect for large groups with lots to do from the volleyball court, hot tub, to the dock on the lake. We enjoyed that there were no immediate neighbors both on the land and waterfront. It also sits back in a cove which was nice for when we were swimming off the dock. Tom, the property owner is very responsive and friendly. We hope to be back!

Family Friendly
Our family meets here every summer and it is perfect for us. The house is spacious and kid friendly. The grounds are very spacious and kid friendly. The boat dock is easy to get to for our boat, and is also great for fishing.

Family reunion
We hosted our children and grandchildren for a week on the lake. There was plenty to do, some went canoeing, we had outdoor games, cookouts etc. There was plenty of spaces to sleep for all ages. The tree house was a hoot! Would recommend!

Couldn't ask for more! Perfect for large family
Everything about this property is perfect! Large family reunion from 10 yr olds up to mid 80's totally loved this place, there was nothing missing from the fully stocked house to the boat dock. Many many hours spent in the water with fun & relaxation for all. We will definitely book this house again for our next reunion. My only hesitation is giving such glowing review that it might be booked next time I want it :) No matter the size or ages of your group this house accommodates everyone, you won't go wrong. Thanks Tom for opening your house to us.

McDowell Family Vacation
Our family had an amazing time at this property. We loved the privacy of this property for our kids and grandkids to be able to play and run. The amenities for the outdoors were perfect from the sand volleyball court to the water mat at the dock. When we had questions the owner Tom was quick to respond. We would stay at this property again.

Excellent home for family retreat!!
This was a fantastic property for our 3 generation family gathering. I would definitely rent this again and highly recommend this property to anyone that wants a great get-away space with lots of activities to do. There were so many details inside and outside the home for us to enjoy. You will not be disappointed if you chose this rental.

Family haven
What a wonderful place to meet and wander! My one and a half year old grandson loved this exposure to life outside of suburbia, and that was exactly my plan. The property is clean, homey, and well-kept. There is plenty of room for adults to spread out in the house, and the grounds are made for play! My family will now judge all my rentals against this one, so i should probably book it in perpetuity to avoid disappointment. Thank you!

Lake time!
The property is great, so great that this was our second year to come. It’s a beautiful property right on the lake that is like your own tucked away oasis. Our whole family came and there was something to do for the 4 year old all the way to the 55 year old. We live swimming at the dock with the lily pad and diving board. Kids couldn’t get enough!

Private Lake House
If you want to feel like you have a slice of heaven, this is your place. You can tell by the drive from the gate to the house you made the perfect choice. This place has everything you need for a family retreat, reunion, function or staycation. There were 13 of us at the house plus our dogs and it was peaceful. The kids had a blast between swimming, volleyball, running around, and the tree house (us adults loved it too). The house had PLENTY of towels and bathrooms, linens. There are not enough words and time to tell you how perfect this place is. If you are on the fence about renting this place, just do it! You won't be disappointed.

Lakeside Retreat
The property was perfect. So beautiful, so many things to do: volleyball court, private dock for three boats, swim platform, fire pit, hot tub. Everything we needed was provided. We couldn't have asked for anything more. It was wonderful.

Relaxing Time!
We had an enjoyable stay here! The kitchen was well stocked and lots of beach towels and bathing towels. A few minor quirks, but we were able to move past them and enjoy our stay. Tons of deer to watch outside which was really awesome!!!

Outstanding Rental
We stayed at the lake house with our very large family and it was perfect! I have never stayed at such a well stocked rental home! We had everything we needed and more. The property was beautiful and the home was very cozy. There is enough space for you to spread out and for people to get some down time in their own if they want. I highly recommend this rental! We hope to come back and stay again!

Family Vacation 2022
We had a wonderful family vacation. The property is gorgeous tucked back in the cove. Spacious home, there were 18 of us and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The large dock was perfect for boating, fishing , swimming- kids loved the diving board! Tree house was a treat for the kids as well. Tom the owner is very accommodating and always ready to help or answer questions. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Awesome Getaway!
This place exceeded all of our expectations. The property is very private and secluded and still close to everything. The view from the front of the home is just as great as the view of the lake. Our family and friends enjoyed playing volleyball in the evenings under the lights. The home has plenty of room for everyone. Would definitely stay here again. Tom the host, was very responsive to anything we needed.

Family Celebration of our 50th Wedding Anniversary
It was great for our 3 family group. There was plenty of space for all. The kids really liked swimming off the dock and using the tree house. The volleyball court was a nice addition although we didn’t use it as much as we were hoping to because of some weather conditions. It was a pleasant and memorable time for us.

Retreat for all ages
This is a wonderful retreat no matter what the age. As a senior adult my best time was spent in the treehouse! It is set in an idillic location with plenty of space for everyone, children to seniors alike.

Our best VRBO getaway so far!
This property literally had everything single thing you could possibly want or need for a family getaway. We loved every minute and will always have great memories of our first post-pandemic family getaway. The property owner was amazing and always available via text to answer our questions and allowed us extra time on our last day because of the rain during our stay! One of my nephews overcame his fear of heights on the fire pole at the treehouse. Beautiful views, beautiful memories of snuggles by the fire! Thank you Tom and thank you VRBO, this one was a priceless experience.

Heaven on earth.
The pictures don’t do this place justice. The home’s character and decor makes you feel like you’re at grandmas house. Off the beaten path and prime lakeside real estate. There isn’t an amenity that will leave your wanting. This place has the charm and everything you need. Highly recommend!

My family and I had a great time enjoying this property. Everything we hoped for!
We'd stayed for 4 nights in August of 2021, and it was absolutely perfect for our group of 4 families with teens and young adult "children." So clean and beautiful with all of the extra details that make a vrbo stay such a delight. Tom was immediately attentive to all of our questions. The lake off of the dock was deep and clean and surprisingly warm for how large it was. We hope to stay here again someday!

Cousins Camp
We have 7 of our grandchildren spend a week with us each summer (without their parents)…….and they loved the property (thought the tree house was really cool); loved the wii system, they had continuous badminton competitions on the volleyball court, battles with each other on the water float with the pool noodles, boated to dripping springs (yes they jumped off the tallest cliff), water skied, tubed and jet skied They want to know if they can come back next summer so let us know when the booking is open….......... Great vacation spot!
Perfect property for a family vacation. The house is very spacious and furnished with everything you might need for cooking, playing games, or sitting on one of the decks enjoying the beautiful view. Perfect spot for a big group
Stop your Grand Lake cabin search now! This place is it. We had a large group from old to newborn. Everyone had a bed and there was something to do for everyone. We loved spending time on the decks. The littles loved the tree house, the swings, and the indoor entertainment (Wii). The adults loved the fire pit, puzzles, and games. The kitchen was large enough that many of us could gather around to prepare our meals. Lots of refrigerator space. The views are gorgeous. The property is well kept. Tom was a wonderful host. After you left, we found that the thermostats for the new water heater installed in the back of the house was not turned up from the factory setting, "low". I am so sorry you did not have "good" hot water in the back of the house. Please come back as soon as you can, there is hot water now! Tom

Wonderful escape
This is a lovely cabin in a picturesque setting on a huge property right along the lake. We stayed here with one other family over a winter weekend and had an amazing time. The pictures don't do the home justice. It's spacious and beautiful with modern amenities. Great kitchen, tons of room to eat between dining table and counter. Great spaces indoors for groups to hang together or split up if they prefer (multiple living rooms with tv's). Bedrooms: The upstairs master suite is incredible. The "kids" room with two bunk beds is a great spot for little ones or adults who don't mind sharing a room. The other bedrooms are nice sized though they only have full beds (if you're used to more space). Other areas: The tree house is amazing! Between the swings, ladders, poles, decks outside and the items to play with inside, kids spend hours exploring and imagining. The hot tub is freaking sweet with a gorgeous view of the lake. We went down to the dock a few times and went for long walks around the property. Woods are tricky to traverse as very dense, but well-manicured land for acres to explore. Tom, the host, met us upon arrival, gave us a tour, showed us how everything worked and couldn't have been more welcoming and gracious. Hope we can come back and stay here again when it's warmer to enjoy the lake!

This place did not disappoint!
From the moment we arrived at this property I knew we had found a unique spot for our family. So beautiful. It accommodated our large group quite well. Space for solitude and space for gathering. Hot tubbing, canoeing, fishing, napping (in the treehouse!) , wildlife watching, and so much more! We also appreciated the owner’s easy and open communication with us. We hope to return in 2021!
