Great location on water by ferry and bus. Useful small kitchens. Shared deck. Walls thin. Could use blackout curtains. Helpful staff. Rocco’s pizza and Black Dog Tavern close and good! Be aware VH does not sell booze in town except in bars and restaurant. Must go to other towns to purchase. Great trip!

Everything was good. Good selection for K-coffee and thoughtful to provide drinking water that’s not in a bottle! Microwave in the room was helpful but needed a ceramic bowl for reheating. The only thing off was that the cable TV wasn’t working… they couldn’t fix it but we didn’t plan on using it anyway.

Yes Fernanda, the walls seem thin when you are blasting music and other guests are complaining after you were asked to turn it down. You have been banned from our property.

This is a lovely location right on the water by the Steamship Authority. It is convenient to quaint downtown Vineyard Haven. The staff is most gracious, friendly, helpful. Keurig coffee is available each morning. The room was clean. They are renovating parts of the hotel but that didn't impede our stay. Location is key for this hotel.

Wonderful little beach and harbor views
We had a delightful stay at Vineyard Harbor Hotel. Very friendly staff! Even though its an older place, it was very clean, roomy, well equipped, nicely decorated. Being there in December, we couldn't take full advantage of the beachfront. It must be great in the summer. Loved the kitchen and full refrigerator. Also loved the location: walking distance to town, ferry terminal, restaurants. We've been coming to the Vineyard for amost 30 years, and never knew much about this place! A great find!

When get a reservation, a warning in advance via email would be greatly appreciated about the dinner reservations so we could reserve in advance. One closed early like your front desk very early closing hour. We could not find any dinner place available because at least two were fully booked for reservations only nearby. We were starving and we did not have a car. We only come by ferryboat. We walked around further and finally found a place that is very busy and waiting in line forever for our turn to order food and bring to the hotel. Informing your guests of food in advance would help us make our stay more convenient.

We are on an island and things change with the season and we are not always notified when restaurants change their hours of operation. The location and view are incredible, however, the room was very worn out and there was quite a bit of mold and moisture damage in the bathroom. The bed was also advertised as a queen and was a full, so we had to use the pull out couch to sleep and the quality of the bed mattress was so awful only one of us could sleep on it each night.

Hi Kelsey, I am sorry you were not happy with your accommodations. That is a queen size bed in room 225, not a full. We are replacing the sleeper sofa, but it still is a sleeper sofa. That room was refurbished last winter, so I am not sure what you are referring too in terms of it being worn out.

Amazing stay! Walking distance to town and the bus stop. 2 minute walk from ferry. Right on the water with the most beautiful views. The staff was SO kind. Would love to come back!!

Vineyard Harbor Motel
Stayed for 2 nights in this lovely motel. It is situated in excellent location with its own private beach, right next to town centre and shops. Ferry terminal is a few minutes walk. Bus stop also next to ferry terminal which we used to get around the island, $8 for all day ticket! Our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Fridge and microwave were great to have too. Also a nice little touch were the hot/cold drinks machines in reception. Staff were lovely and friendly and really happy to help and advise. Would definitely stay on this motel again if we were lucky enough to go back to Martha’s Vineyard.

The motel room needs some upkeep. The toilet bowl ring was loose, faucet leaking, air conditioner very noisy. Location is nice.

A nice surprise
A surprise finding. It was my first time at the motel. It was Very clean room, eco-friendly. Private beach, complimentary beach chairs, towels and other beach accessories were an added bonus. Great and convenient location too.

Great for a weekend visit. Much thanks to Hannah for helping me with a situation with my luggage!! My only complaint is that they do not clean your room daily. Other than that, no complaints! The location was perfect and a private beach!!

Hi Karen, Thanks for your great review. Hannah is great, we all appreciate her. We are trying to deal with the issue of daily cleanings, but the whole island is short staffed. Many of our restaurants close for one day a week so their staff can have a day off. Hopefully this will turn around in the near future. So glad you enjoyed your stay.

The smell of the room was unbearable this was the worst part!!! We were located on the second floor and had to lug large suitcases up and down the stairs NO ELEVATOR or luggage lifts.... a bit of a feat for two older ladies. The staff did help us with one when we arrived to get it up the stairs but coming down they were gone so we had to do it all ourselves. No daily cleaning available due to staff shortages. Not quite what we would expect for 500 plus a night. The staff were very friendly, the harbor view was great, very easy and close access to the ferry to Woods Hole and the location is walkable to the downtown square of Vineyard Haven. Great food truck right across the street.

Hello, I am sorry to hear that your stay was not a positive one. I have never had a guest complain of a smell of any kind in that room and while you were here, you never came to the front desk to tell us. The daily cleaning is two fold, yes we are on an island and finding enough help is an issue, but we do supply fresh towels and trash removal daily. The second reason is there is still COVID. The Steamship Authority just had to shut down several trips because the whole crew on one vessel tested positive for COVID. Your two night stay totaled a little over 500, not 500 per night. Again, I am sorry that you were disappointed with your stay.

Very quaint little place right on the water with their own, small, but private beach. They had 24/7 free coffee, and adorable layout/courtyard, friendly staff, and even free to use beach chairs, towels, various floats/lpool toys for the water too. Would stay again. Only a 5 minute walk to the port authority, and very close to two car rental agencies (maybe more), close to some shops and restaurants. Also close to the Martha's vineyard bus stop.
