The perfect home for cyclists and sun-seekers, ideal for two families or small groups. Lovingly restored, high-end amenities, a 10x5-metre pool, and a large kitchen for cooking together.
With this 150-year-old house, which we spent two years renovating, we’ve fulfilled a lifelong dream—and chosen the amenities accordingly. The dining table easily seats 10 people; the kitchen is fully equipped with silverware and a wide range of kitchen appliances. The living room, with its wood-burning stove and large TV, is a cosy retreat. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and furnished with comfortable box-spring beds. All bathrooms are brand new. The two bedrooms on the ground floor share a large bathroom with a floor-to-ceiling shower and a freestanding tub. The two rooms in the attic each have an open-concept bathroom area, separated from the sleeping area by a half-height wall. A heat pump heating system ensures cosy warmth even during the transitional seasons. The entire house has Wi-Fi (fiber-optic). In total, there is well over 200 square metres of living space available.
The 1,000-square-meter property is planted with olive, fig, and pomegranate trees and is completely fenced in. The highlight is the 10x5-metre saltwater pool, surrounded by a spacious terrace with an adjoining pool house. You can dine in the shade under a pergola, and the massive khaki tree also provides protection from the sun.
The house’s location is ideal: right in the heart of the beautiful and unspoiled village of Villes-sur-Auzon. The house is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac, yet it’s just a two-minute walk to the bakery, the picturesque village store, or—on Wednesday mornings—the tiny but charming weekly market. On weekdays during recess, you can hear the sounds of children playing from the adjacent school.
It’s 10 kilometres to Bédoin, the classic starting point for cyclists tackling Mont Ventoux—but even more beautiful is the impressive Gorges de la Nesque, which begins right behind the village and through which you can ride 20 kilometres on a perfect road up to the Sault plateau. The surrounding area is characterised by gentle hills, vineyards, and orchards—the ideal cycling terrain because it offers everything from flat to mountainous terrain.
Avignon is a 45-minute drive away. It takes about 1.5 hours to drive to Marseille and the beach.
