There was initial disagreement over how many rooms we had booked that would have been resolved quickly if a representative of the hotel were on premises. Host, who could be reached only by phone, insisted that AC worked in the hotel, when it did not. Once resolved, the AC stopped sometime in middle of night.
On positive note, public spaces and guest rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the hotel is just steps from the ocean.
Certainly not the fault of the hotel, but there is no Uber or Lyft service in the area, and the main part of A Guarda is up a long hill, facts to consider if you are on foot.

"I was the only person staying at this hotel which was a bit disconcerting as it really is in thr middle of nowhere - about 1.3 km off the camino. But it is excellent.
