Songbird Cabin is serenity tucked away on the edge of a Christmas Tree Farm

Songbird Cabin is a charming two-bedroom, one-bath, situated 18 miles northwest of Boone, NC. Nestled on a 26-acre Christmas tree farm, it offers stunning views of Grandfather Mountain and Beech Mountain. This cabin is a delightful getaway in every season. It features an outdoor Blackstone griddle, and firewood is supplied for the wood-burning fireplace. Don't forget to check out our new Cardinal's Nest Craft Shop during your visit. While this is a working farm just a heads-up — there’s been quite a bit of work happening around the farm lately as we’re expanding and adding more rental spaces. We’re doing our best to keep everything as quiet and tidy as possible, but we wanted to everyone know in advance in case you notice some activity during your stay. Amazing!

I can’t say enough positive things about our stay at Songbird! It was everything we dreamed of for our “Christmas Mountain Trip”. Bianca is the best host we have ever had. The songbird cabin is so cozy. We hoped for snow during our stay & we got it! The views were amazing! This is definitely our new favorite cabin and we are already planning our next trip!

Great cabin for family and dogs

We had a great time visiting the Boone area staying at this cabin. The cabin is well fit out and the view is excellent. We hope to be back sometime soon!

Perfect getaway

My wife and I stayed at the songbird cabin for the week to get away from the city and could not have picked a better place. The location is beautiful, quiet and only 30 mins from Boone. The cabin itself was cozy, comfortable, and clean. It has everything you need to grill outside on the deck and enjoy the views. It was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to come back.

Beautiful view, cozy cabin

My partner and I had a wonderful time at this lovely cabin. It's tucked away in the woods and very quiet. The view is amazing. We even got to see a little snow which made my trip.

Second stay just as amazing as the first!

My wife and daughter and I stayed at this cabin back in February 2021, and decided to come back in January 2025. Our stay was just as amazing as the first stay! The host was quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our stay. The property was clean and the view from the deck is incredible! Since we had been before, we knew to stop for food well before arriving since it is in a remote location. We preferred this for privacy and a peaceful setting. The driveway was a little slippery with the ice, so 4wd came in handy. We got to see snow falling the first night we stayed and enjoyed our trip. The property is beautiful covered in a blanket of white. We can’t wait to come back again!

Enjoyable mountain stay

My wife and I had a great long weekend getaway at the Christmas tree farm. We got snowed in and just enjoyed the cozy cabin for the weekend. Diane was a gracious host and stayed in contact when needed. Would stay again!

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

This was a cozy, comfortable cabin with amazing, changing mountain views. A great location to get away, while still being able to drive to restaurants, wineries, breweries, and many hiking options if you choose (we chose to eat in during the pandemic).

This was our second time staying at Songbird Cabin. We came to see the Fall colors. The cabin is always clean and well maintained, we love the peace and quiet. You just can't beat the area or the views. We will be back!

Serenity and Beauty

Songbird Cabin offered wonderful ever changing views based on the weather as well as peaceful serenity. We enjoyed walks through the property’s tree farm. The cabin had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great place to celebrate our anniversary!

Wonderful Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at Songbird Cabin. It’s a bit of a hike from Boone but was secluded and just what we were looking for. The views are incredible, cabin was spotlessly clean, and we had everything we needed. We comfortably cooked all of our meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Have already recommended to a few friends and we’ll definitely be back!
