Welcome to Altitude Adjustment, a warm and inviting log cabin tucked away in the peaceful Vilas area, just north of Boone. Surrounded by the natural beauty of North Carolina's High Country, this cozy mountain retreat offers long-range views of Grandfather Mountain and Beech Mountain, comfortable spaces to relax, and a convenient location near many of the area's most popular attractions.

After a day of exploring, return to the cabin, curl up by the seasonal gas fireplace on those cool fall and winter evenings, and enjoy a quiet evening with family and friends. Our cabin is also pet friendly with management approval and certain restrictions apply.

THE SPACE
The main level features two comfortable bedrooms—one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds. Both bedrooms include Roku TVs. A full bathroom and a washer and dryer are also conveniently located on this level.
The welcoming living room includes comfortable seating, a Roku TV, and a seasonal gas fireplace that creates the perfect atmosphere for cool mountain evenings.

The fully stocked kitchen includes:
--Refrigerator
--Dishwasher
--Microwave
--Regular drip coffee maker
--Keurig coffee maker
--Cookware, dishes, and utensils

Upstairs, the open sleeping loft includes a queen bed, a full bathroom, and a cozy sitting area. A bookcase filled with a variety of books offers the perfect excuse to slow down, relax, and enjoy a good read.

OUTDOOR LIVING
The covered deck may quickly become your favorite place at Altitude Adjustment. Settle into the outdoor seating and enjoy beautiful long-range views of Grandfather Mountain and Beech Mountain. It is the perfect spot for morning coffee, an evening drink, or simply breathing in the fresh mountain air. A gas grill is also provided for preparing meals outdoors.

Pet Policy
Pets are welcome with prior management approval and a non-refundable pet privilege fee of $125 per pet, per stay, plus applicable tax.
Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and placing all pet waste in the garbage. Pets are not allowed on the beds/bedding.

--Appalachian Ski Mountain – approximately 30 minutes
--Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster – approximately 30 minutes
--Sugar Mountain Resort – approximately 35 minutes
--Beech Mountain Resort – approximately 42 minutes

Minimum-Stay Requirements
--Two-night minimum during the off-peak season; one-night reservations are not permitted
--Three-night minimum during October and for certain holidays
--Four-night minimum for Thanksgiving
--Six-night minimum during the week of July Fourth and the Christmas/New Year holiday period
--No departures permitted on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day

Arrival and Departure
--Check-in: 4:00 p.m. or later
--Check-out: 10:00 a.m. or earlier

Winter-Weather Notice
Rain, fog, snow, and other weather-related conditions are a natural part of visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains. Winter weather may occur from November through April, and mountain roads can become icy or snow-covered.

Guests traveling during winter weather should arrive prepared with a four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle, good tires, and tire chains when conditions require them. Guests are responsible for monitoring the forecast and preparing for potentially hazardous road conditions. Refunds, allowances, and date changes cannot be provided when guests are unable to reach the property because their vehicle or party was not appropriately prepared.
