Wireless internet access is reliable. Even in october, the pool was clean and the weather was still warm enough to take a refreshing dip. The landlady provides lots of useful information about sights in the vicinity (in our case including local fiestas and a general strike demanding catalonian independency, along with produce of her own garden). From this location, the volcan zone and the pyrenees can be as easily accessed as the cities Figueres and Girona, the ruins of Empuries and Ullastret, the monastery of St. Pere de Rodes and lots of nice beaches along the costa brava - all of which certainly deserve being visited.
