The safari tents from Africa of the scientific pioneers there and the tents as the Arabs use them to this day.

Burgau 'The Santorini of Portugal'

Burgau is located in the golden triangle (Lagos - Sagres - Aljezur) of the south-west Algarve. An idyllic fishing village located directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Burgau has a beautiful sandy beach, many restaurants and other amenities. From the lively village of Burgau there is a direct connection to the nearby villages and towns of Luz, Sagres, Salema, Espiche and Lagos.

Quinta Aurora is located within walking distance (200 meters) of Burgau in one of the most beautiful National Parks in Portugal (Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano). The well-maintained park offers many walking routes over the cliffs along the ocean.

Pristine golden beaches, orange-red rocks, dark green olive trees, a refreshing turquoise blue sea and sun all year round: everything you could wish for from an ideal holiday destination.

Beautiful/Unique Experience

I recently stayed at this stunning African-inspired tent that exceeded all my expectations. The views were absolutely breathtaking, offering a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The attention to detail in the tent’s design created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it feel like a true escape. Our host Martin, was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was convenient, just a short distance from the main town, which made exploring the area a breeze. The tent was spotlessly clean, and the ocean view added an extra layer of tranquility to our experience. I felt completely safe throughout my stay, which is always a priority. Overall, I highly recommend this unique Airbnb for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying modern comforts. I can’t wait to return!

Spent two nights but wished we stayed longer. While the weather wasn't the best during our visit, the tent and views were still fantastic. Traveled as a family with two teenagers. Given the rainy on and off conditions we spent more time in the tent than expected. The internet speed was great despite the location being so remote. We used the pellet stove and hung out as a family, making memories. The place was very clean and Martin has provided everything you could possibly need. Explored the village of Bargau and had a nice dinner out. There's a couple small markets in the village to purchase food and drink to bring back to the tent as well. Again, weather was our biggest issue but if ever back in the Algarve, we would revisit Quinta Aurora. Thank you Martin!
