Nice helpful staff. Great location near parliament building and Sparks street.

We opted for the Gold plan and loved it! Breakfast was included, small plate appetizers and canapés and then dessert served in an exclusive common room from 5:00. Excellent service. But the hotel needs some refurbishing and updating. The desk chair in our room was literally shredded. This is a premium property. A wonderful and historic and perfectly located hotel. The Fairmount needs to give it some love.

Fantastic location right close to all the sights you want to see in Ottawa. The rooms are quite dated, very clearly renovated in the early 90s, but it adds to tye character. Great value for the price with each room having the kitchenette.
