"My husband and I had spent a very special week in Jūrmala at the Aparthotel Wooden Villa and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations, staff and proximity to the downtown Jūrmala/beach area. Our apartment was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable for our week there. Would highly recommend staying at the Wooden Villa, especially for a longer stay. "

"The beauty of the building was evidenced by the almost continous stream of people taking pictures of it. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Only negative was the kitchen was minimally supplied for eating and not at all supplied for cooking (no pots,pans,cooking utensils, cleaning soaps etc) - defeats the purpose of having a stve top."

"Just a walk through parks to the old town on an upscale street. Lido’s around provide inexpensive food options with authentic Latvian foods. The buffet breakfast is nice but really could use more fresh fruits and salad options. Strawberries were in season but absent and a lack of nice salad options was a bit disappointing. As well fresh eggs rather than using powdered eggs for the scrambled eggs should be used at a 5 star hotel as well as other egg options. "

"I stayed four nights. Had dinner one night in the rooftop restaurant. The hotel was very affordable. While there is an elevator, there are about 8 steps to reception and also down to the breakfast room. So I would not call this property accessible. I made a rookie mistake and gave the front desk a bag of laundry - maybe half a load in a US washer. $80! I found this to be outrageous. My fault for not checking. Lev at the front desk is very nice and helpful. I was still recovering from laundry...
