The Galloping Goose Trail is just a few more steps. Ride your bike to the Metchosin town core, Roche Cove, Sooke, or as far as historic Leechtown. Visit the CRD website to discover more about the beautiful parks, trails, and beaches Metchosin has to offer! Enjoy a country meal at My Chosen Cafe or order in from their pizza kitchen, the best pizza in town! Pedder Bay Marina is a great spot to grab a Starbucks coffee and stroll along the docks where you will see a variety of birds and sea life. Rent a power boat or kayak and explore the beautiful and clam bay. During the summer (non-burning) season, guests are welcome to use our propane fire pit. We provide one propane tank at the start of your stay; however, we’re not able to provide unlimited propane. If you plan to use the fire pit frequently, additional propane can be obtained by exchanging the tank at the nearby corner store or by bringing your own. \*\*IMPORTANT- We ask all guests to ensure that they have trip cancellation and extended health coverage at the time of booking. It was so amazingly quiet and peaceful. Very close to a little lake to do some light hiking. Close enough to some larger towns to get what you need and then a beautiful drive to peaceful retreat. Hosts were friendly, house intructions were short & easy to follow. So relaxing and welcoming. Our hosts, Amanda and Dave were lovely and very helpful in suggesting great places for us to visit that suited our interests. Quiet and relaxing. Seemed like being upstairs above the owner and having the hot tub close to their part of the house would be odd but it was fine.
