It was a perfect little getaway. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our room had the most beautiful view (nutmeg 1). Its not actually that far from the nearest towns but it feels worlds away. Originally built by slaves on the edge of the forest, its been modernised to facilitate all essential needs. The garden is made up of mature shrubs and trees which is enjoyed by plentiful birdlife. The forest walk takes you past an incredible variety of plantation trees and bushes. The staff were welcoming and friendly and made our stay very comfortable. The location is just beautiful they had little trail you can walk behind the hotel and they had a family of tortoises that we can see everyday. Which was a nice surprise and our family liked it very much. The only thing I would say about this location is that there were not much options for food in the surrounding areas. But I guess we were there at the low season so maybe not many places were opened.
