"Lausanne is not a big town and the hotel is in the best part of the town. Directly on the lake and just a few steps away from the free tram that takes you up the hill to the "old town", maybe a 5 minute trip. The hotel is definitely a 4 or 5 star accommodation. The building is unique and historical but renovated to feel like a new facility. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable for European standards.
