Boven is het lichter en ruimer. De uitrusting is ook gebruikt maar toereikend ( goede koelkast en wasmachine), watervoorziening is prima (goede douche!). Het huisje heeft veel privacy met een ommuurd erfje met mooi uitzicht, maar het doordoor ontbreken van gordijnen op de overloop en in de badcel voelt toch niet prettig. De beheerder was vriendelijk, maar de verstrekte informatie was vrij beperkt. Gezien de locatie is een auto eigenlijk onontbeerlijk, het is wel een goede uitvalsbasis om dit deel van de Dordogne te verkennen. This house was in a wonderful location for exploring the Dordogne area, close to beautiful towns eg Sarlat, Domme, and with its own lovely views over the surrounding countryside. It was delightfully quiet and the terrace was ideal for a late afternoon drink. The owner was very welcoming. The house loses a star rating because a) the house was difficult to find, especially for non- French speakers b) prior to our stay, replies from the owner were not always prompt c) compared to other houses we have stayed in, the lack of basic necessities eg soap, toilet paper, garbage bags, wood for the BBQ and fire etc was noticeable. The region is beautiful, as is the view from the terrace and upstairs windows. The owners were friendly and pleasant, though we had a little trouble contacting them/getting a reply to our emails before arriving. Connaissant bien la région ils m'ont été de bons conseils dans le choix de mes visites aussi bien touristiques que gastronomiques. Ils ont été très désagréable. Peu de calme à nos oreilles. La route de Sarlat en contre bas est très passante. La jolie décoration des chambres est vite gachée quand on s'allonge sur les lits... Un jardin est annoncé mais il n'y a que la cour ou le jardin du propriétaire en contre bas. Aucune sécurité dans les escaliers pour des enfants en bas âge, même à notre demande. Nous laissons libre cour à la réponse de ce couple si peu accueillant, et nous ne pouvons que déconseiller ce gîte. ##### armelle a. Terrasse agréable pour prendre son petit dej au soleil ou l'apéro, ou tout simplement bouquiner au calme affalé sur un transat les pieds en éventails. Nous avons aimé cette location, et la recommandons. La maison est parfaitement située pour bien découvrir cette région, calme, reposant, coup de coeur pour la décoration....parfait pour une mise au vert. L'accueil a été chaleureux et les propiétaires ont été des "guides touristiques hors pair", nous n'avions pas du tout préparé notre voyage, c'était notre première en dordogne et leurs conseils ont été précieux (ainsi que remise de brochures touristiques). Un week end prolongé parfait, nous y retournerions sans aucune hésitation, certainement plus longtemps tellement la région est riche (activités, visites...) et l'emplacement de la maison de choix. Pour faire suite au commentaire sur le froid ressenti, nous au contraire avons eu une très belle semaine et avons passé tout notre temps dehors. Pour cette région, rien d'étonnant, ce qui l est plus, c'est l absence cruelle d'équipements extérieurs, pas de chaise longue, pied de parasol cassé, sol en cailloux et poussières et marches cassées (avec des enfants c'est très gênant!!). Autre bémol, lors de votre départ, attendez-vous à passer un vrai examen de vérification de ménage, un peu étonnant quand on sait qu'il n'y a aucun produit d entretien fourni et que l'on voit la quantité de toiles d araignée dans les coins... Enfin, manque de chaleur de la propriétaire. Sinon, le gite est effectivement bien situé, bien rénové et spacieux. Cependant, il ne restera pas parmi nos favoris, il y aurait de multiples améliorations à apporter. ##### Michael C. Le logement est parfait pour un séjour au calme, à proximité des principaux sites touristique (5 à 10 minutes maximum). La maison a été rénovée avec gout en 2010, avec tout le confort nécessaire. Les propriétaires sont toujours de bon conseil pour la découverte de la région. Nous n'hésiterons pas à y séjourner de nouveau!!! ##### Romain M. Les propriétaires ont dû changer depuis 2012, ça ne correspond pas du tout aux derniers avis lus sur "homelidays". Annonce mensongère qui parle d'un poêle dont on ne peut pas se servir ! Lorsque nous y étions il faisait 8 degrés le matin, et 15 degrés l'après midi. Avec un seul radiateur au rdc sans possibilité d'allumer le poêle, nous avions 2-3 pulls en permanence sur nous, c'était très désagréable. Nous leur avons bien expliqué que nous savions bien nous servir d'un poêle, que nous avions un enfant de 13 mois et que ça serait bien qu'ils y réfléchissent. Aucun effort n'a été fait par les propriétaires. Nous avons donc été mal tout le séjour. Des marches cassées dans l'entrée, mon mari a failli tomber à plusieurs reprises, sachant qu'il avait notre fils dans les bras. Gite cependant très bien situé, à proximité des lieux de visite. Par contre, on entend beaucoup la départementale lorsqu'on est sur la terrasse (ils nous avaient dit très calme quand on leur avait posé la question) Gite plutôt bien rénové (sauf la salle de bain).
