Veules-les-Roses is a village on the coast of Haute-Normandie which is classified among « Les Plus Beaux Villages de France ». It is located about 25 km from Dieppe. Our house has been rated with a 3 stars quality mark. It can comfortably accommodate up to four people, and is ideal for resting and having a good time. It is also well suited for combining periods of remote work with vacations. Ground floor: entrance hall, living room with television, DVD reader and telephone, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, WC with sink. On the first floor, landing leading to bedroom 1 (double bed 190 x 140 cm, cupboards and desk), to bedroom 2 (2 single beds 190 x 90 cm, cupboard and chest of drawers, possibility of reorganization into a double bed 190 x 180 cm, with a mattress topper to make it more comfortable) , and to the bathroom (shower cubicle and sink). Garden with terrace, table and chairs, umbrella, barbecue, lounge chairs and deckchairs, accessible from kitchen and also directly from the street. Bikes, strollers and beach equipment can be kept in the garden, and brought there directly from the street. Baby equipment available upon request: baby cot (120 x 60 cm, extra charge of 50 euros), high chair and baby bathtub. The beds are equipped with mattrass covers, and we provide bed sheets, hand and kitchen towels, table linen, as well as shower/bath towels. The mattrasses are new (12/2021) and of good quality in both bedrooms. The house is well heated (central heating system based on natural gas) and is also equiped with a Godin stove (can be used with prior agreement). Parking on designated parking spots and areas is free in Veules-les-Roses. Several large parking areas are available at the entrances to the village. It is also generally possible to park in the streets near the house. There is enough space just in front of the house to park a motorcycle. A very fast optical fiber internet connection is available (both ethernet and wifi). The house is non-smoking, and we do not accept pets. The rate is automatically reduced by 10% for stays of a week or more, and by 30% from four weeks. Very communicative (in english thankfully), well organised and full of Information about the area. Unfortunately we haven‘t Met in person, but he was always available for questions via mobile devices. The house is very charmful and reminded me of my grannies house. We really liked it. It is very well equipped and Gas everything you can ask for in a holiday flat. The toilet is tiny, but absolutely sufficent. The new shower upstairs is great. We also loved the garden. Very quiet and with a lot of lounges and chairs. The provided general information about WLAN etc are very good. Veules-les-Roses is a very nice village with some entertainent at the Weekends. Weil im Haus nur Hausschuhe getragen werden, sind die Teppiche und Holzböden sehr gepflegt und sauber. Nur das winzige WC (etwas über einen halben Meter breit) und mit Schiebetür von der Küche getrennt war gewöhnungsbedürftig. Der Fernsehapparat bot nur französische Sender, das konnte aber mittels Laptop/Tablet sehr gut über W-Lan kompensiert werden. Die Lage ist trotz der Nähe zur Hauptstraße und des Touristenweges vor der Haustür schön ruhig. Wir waren für 2 Wochen dort und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Es gibt einen kleinen Garten mit Liegen und auch einem Grill. Wir haben den Garten gerne zum Frühstücken genutzt,hier empfiehlt es sich die nahegelegene Bäckerei aufzusuchen. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, einzig das Silberbesteck ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig . Vor der Türe fliest direkt der fluss und lädt an einigen Treppen zum verweilen ein oder leitet direkt an den nahegelgenen Strand. The house is ideally situated in Veules les Roses, close to the beach and the town center. It is clean, tidy and very cozy. The communication with the owner was great- we were in contact early to prepare for the visit and he remained available in the case we had any questions. We would highly recommend it.
