Get away to upscale Verbier! Enjoy the skiing, glaciers and adventure.

With plenty of sunshine and panoramic views of glacial peaks and snow-dusted mountains, Verbier is an ideal place for exploring the best of southwest Switzerland’s outdoors. Work on your skiing or snowboarding technique at Verbier Ski Resort, take in breathtaking vistas of the surrounding Alps or hike through protected natural landscapes.

Verbier is situated on a picturesque plateau that looks out onto the glaciers of Grand Combin. Enjoy the convenience and scenic outlooks of the nearly 100 lifts that operate during the resort’s long ski season. Access a wide array of runs and backcountry trails, which ensure a diversity of terrain for all skill levels. The resort’s challenging slopes have put it on the competitive circuit, making Verbier a hot spot for spectating contests such as the Freeride World Tour and the Patrouille des Glaciers race.

Make your way up Verbier’s highest chairlift to the glacial Mont Fort and take in the panorama that stretches out to Dom, Dent Blanche, Dent d’Hérens, Mont Blanc and Matterhorn in the distance. The majestic peak of Matterhorn can also be reached in summer, when you can see an unforgettable sunrise over the forested valleys.

Visit Verbier in the warmer months to discover hundreds of miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. Follow the trails of the region’s migrating chamois, play a round on the Verbier golf courses or paraglide through the valley. Check out the landscapes of the Haut Val de Bagnes and see magnificent views of the Mauvoisin Dam, the expansive lake and cascading waterfalls.

Whether you’re searching for fresh powder or strolling through mountainside meadows, make sure you pack a picnic of fresh rye bread, traditional Valais raclette and air-dried meats to enjoy with the crisp mountain air.

Verbier is easily accessible via plane and rail. Geneva International Airport is a 2.5-hour train ride away, via Martigny or beautiful Le Châble. Driving is not recommended due to limited parking at the resort. Stay in fairytale-like chalets and modern hotels. If you visit Verbier at the end of summer, join the village’s acclaimed international festival of classical and jazz music.
