Just over 5 minutes walk from the large, sandy Blue Flag beaches of Playa de Las Marinas. The property comprises 2 areas of outside space. A ground floor front patio of approximately 6m x 1.5m which gets the sun in the afternoon plus a wonderful 30 sq m roof top solarium with spectacular mountain views. The property itself is fully equipped with everything you could possibly want whilst on holiday and also boasts full air conditioning. The fitted open plan kitchen is complete with electric hob, fridge freezer, kettle, microwave, toaster and breakfast bar. In addition you will find a Patio table and Chairs set for those that like Al Fresco dining. All linen, towels, cutlery and crockery are also provided. Currently arranged as 2 x double beds and 1 x single bed but with a spare single mattress so could sleep 6 at a push seven if you count the really comfortable sofa. Anyway, whats the area like. In the immediate location you are Walking distance to a multitude of bars, restaurants, shops and a Spa / Sports centre. There are Four great golf courses nearby including the world famous Desert Springs Golf Course and in my humble opinion the very under rated Valle Del Este. Just a 10 to 15 minute stroll brings you to the vibrant but quaint fishing village of Garrucha, famous for its Giant Red Prawns. Only a short drive or bus ride away you will find the Aquavera water park, Go Karting and a swanky beach club in Puerto Rey. Going north you will find another smaller fishing village of Villaricos and continue a little further to the beautiful San Juan De Los Torreos. To the South and much much nearer though is the livelier resort of Mojacar Playa only about 5 - 10 minutes by car or bus and it would be a crime to visit Mojacar and then NOT to visit Mojacar Pueblo. This quaint iconic whitewashed mountain village is considered to be one of the top 10 villages of its kind in the whole of Spain. Not surprising when you consider It has a peaceful ambience with stunning views and some fantastic restaurants where you can easily lose yourself in all that is good about Spain. The National Park of Cabo De Gato is less than an hours drive away as is the Capital city Almeria and the livelier resorts of Almerimar and Roquettas Del Mar. The area itself in this part of Spain is rich in history and there is plenty to do and see as a tourist if that’s what you want but equally you can chill out and do nothing more than enjoy the Fine weather that this Andalucian region has in abundance. A drive inland of approx 50 minutes towards Murcia takes you to a great Western themed amusement park for those that like those sort of things to do and you should not miss an opportunity to visit the iconic whitewashed mountain village of Mojacar Pueblo. In a word or two " Simply Stunning ", consistently voted into the top 10 of Spain's most beautiful Whitewashed Villages and strongly rumoured to be the birthplace of none other than the film maker Walt Disney. So whether it’s relaxing in the sun with a glass of your favourite tipple whilst reading, listening to music maybe or Simply having a snooze ( sorry siesta ) this property allows that. Equally however if you are an energetic type there is plenty to do and see and whilst a car is handy to have you definitely do not need one. For those that do prefer a car there's plenty of parking spaces on the 3 roads which surround the complex. Enjoy Traditional vibrant Spanish markets of which there are plenty with one on everyday somewhere nearby and the author particularly likes Villaricos (Sunday), Turre or the gigantic Garrucha Friday market which occupies the entire town it seems. Foodies will not be disappointed as the owner of this property carried out a thorough investigation and due diligence which in other words means they holidayed here several times trying out the local cuisine relentlessly as they did so. So whether it’s Michelin Star posh eats or laid back chiringuitos there is plenty of that delicious Andalucian food on offer not to mention some amazing Italian, Argentinian and Asian eateries to Boot. During the summer months a churreria sets up a mobile stall just outside the complex so you don’t have far to get to get your hands on those delicious ( if slightly unhealthy ) churros and if that wasn’t enough All year round a kiosk opens ( which is part of the mini supermarket ) run by a couple of old girls that knock up the most amazing take away food for next to nothing. If you can’t be bothered to cook but don’t want the expense of eating out then this is definitely for you. Whilst writing I must recommend the full size Tortilla or the spicy chicken wings and on Sundays only they do the full size spit roast chicken. So far we haven’t found anything not to like about this property, the people we’ve met or the area and are actually contemplating buying another one. We were welcomed warmly by our hostess Dawn who was thoroughly supportive and helpful throughout our visit. There were a couple of hiccups at the beginning but were dealt with promptly by the owner James that was very impressive! The area and facilities were brilliant and so close to beach and restaurants too! We had our daughter who is 20mths with us and didnt hire a car as we wanted to stay local for the 9days. Plenty to do with the pools, bars, beaches, playgrounds and promenades. Bliss and would highly recommend to any family with youngsters! My boyfriend and I had a brilliant time at this villa. Garrucha is amazing and a great little gem for young couples, families and friend holidays. The Villa: This place was spotless. Very clean and it has brilliant aircon in the living room and bedrooms (really helped as it does get incredibly hot in Garrucha). The villa comes with a rooftop balcony that is a suntrap all day! So if you do prefer to sunbathe in a more private setting, you will love it up there. The complex has a number of pools. The area is kept incredibly clean and is covered with beautiful Mediterranian flowers; very Spanish! The Location: Packed with restaurants so you will be spoiled for choice! The villa is only a short 5-minute walk to the main strip of restaurants in Garrucha. If you love Paella, I would strongly recommend walking to Garrucha Port! Everything was incredibly cheap, around 10-12 EUROS each per meal. Closer to the villa, there is an even cheaper restaurant called The Bistro. A three-course meal will cost you 14EUROS each and it was some of the best food on the strip! Beach wise: the entire strip is full of sand (no uncomfortable stones) and has plenty of restaurants close by for a quick break of drinking beverages! If you fancy heading further out of town, Mojacar is only a short 15/20 minute walk along the beach strip. We would also strongly recommend visiting Mojacar Pueblo. Insane views on the mountaintop and the small town is filled with gift stores and more restaurants. If you want everything on your doorstep, I would strongly staying in this villa. Nous avons dû refaire toute la vaisselle que nous avons voulu utiliser. Pas de cafetière (contrairement aux photos), bouilloires inutilisables car trop sales depuis longtemps (mouches collées). La literie est à revoir complètement. Mauvaise communication avec la personne en charge sur place suite à nos remarques, notamment sur la saleté. = Les côtés positifs ensuite = Bel environnement, belle résidence. Logement juste en face de la piscine. à 10' à pieds de la plage. Proximité des petits magasins. Terrasse rooftop mieux aménagée que les photos. ##### Philippe M. Stayed 14 nights in Jul 2024 ### 6/10 Okay #### Eva M. 13 Jul 2024 Liked: Communication, location Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in #### Estancia un poco atropellada Una estancia un poco atropellada ya que tuvimos unos cuantos problemas desde el día de la entrada aunque tanto el dueño como la persona de contacto respondían y daban soluciones rápido. En cuanto al apartamento está bastante escaso de menaje de cocina, solo nos dejaron unas sábanas para 13 días y ni si quiera estaban completos los juegos, no había para todas las camas y eso que éramos 3 adultos. Los sofás muy sucios, viejos e incómodos dándoles un uso de sofá, así que no me imagino el tener que usarlo de cama. El suelo de la terraza está peligroso para tropezarse ya que está hundido. En cuanto a la ubicación en la urbanización muy buena, al ser de esquina corría airecito y se estaba muy bien en la terraza ya que a nosotros nos encanta hacer la vida en ella siempre y cuando sea posible; ademas la ubicación respecto a la playa también es buena un paseíllo de unos 10 minutos. Los aires acondicionados perfectos aunque no ha hecho mucha falta usarlos. ##### Eva M. Par contre perdu 1h00 à l'arrivée pour récupérer les clefs. Le monsieur n'a pas pu être présent, nous avons dû aller chercher les clefs chez lui, dans un autre village, mais les indications données étaient très mauvaises donc grosse perte de temps, de l'énervement( après 15 heures de trajet et un lever à 3h30!!!). Puis à l'arrivée dans le logement, une marre d'eau devant le frigo qui dégivrant tout en étant branché. Donc obligé de passer la serpillière plusieurs fois dans la soirée. Un sac de vêtement mouillé car posé dans cette eau. Au moment de mettre le linge à sécher, nous nous sommes aperçu que l'étendage était cassé !!! J'ai donc contacté la dame par messagerie, qui m'a dit qu'ils m'en apporteraient un le lendemain. Ils ne l'ont jamais apporté. Et pour le frigo elle m'a dit qu'ils n'avaient pas pû faire autrement par rapport aux précédents locataires. Je trouve tout cela bien léger !!! Au cours du séjour, les serrures des entrées de la résidence ont été changé sans que nous soyons au courant. Nous pouvions sortir mais pas entrer. La nouvelle clef ne nous avait pas été donné par la personne s'occupant de la location sur place !! Il a fallu la contacter pour nous l'apporter. Le monsieur l'a apporté le soir. Il a sonné, ne s'est pas présenté, m'a tendu la clef et est reparti en me disant au revoir !! C'est quand même rustre, je n'ai pas l'habitude de ce genre de comportement,de personnes qui se préoccupent si peu de leur locataire. En ce qui concerne la caution, je me demande comment ça se passe puisqu'il n'y a pas d'état des lieux à l'entrée ni à la sortie. Très peu de document d'explications, il a fallu farfouiller dans les tiroirs pour trouver le code wi fi sur un bout de papier volant... C'est dommage. ##### rodet vincenti v. There are lots of lovely restaurants nearby that not only served amazing food it were very reasonable. The beach is lovely and only a 10 minute walk away. The communal areas around the house were really clean and the pools were lovely. The place was very clean and spacious with everything you would need in a home. It has a good sized communal swimming pool and is also close to the beach. The resort is very well kept with lovely flowers and is very peaceful though at the same time is near to shops and restaurants. Parking was no problem there are plenty of spaces just outside the villa. One of the days we drove to Murcia which is only about an hour and half and also to Western Leone which is a western-style theme park in Almeria so we did make the most of our stay there. Even had lifeguard in place so safe for Kids.
