The property has a front and side deck with BBQ and outside furniture. There is a combustion wood fire inside to keep you warm on those cold nights.The sleeping arrangements consist of a double bed,two singles,and a bunk bed.There is a well equipped kitchen with tea and coffee provided. Bedding for the double bed is provided,as well as doonas,blankets and pillows for all beds.There is of course a TV,video/DVD player and music system.Although of legal height,families with toddlers need to be aware that the decking is not fenced in.Very flexible check in and check out times-just ask. All other amenities were fine. There was only one small place to park one car off the road. The front steps were shacky and there needs to be a guide rail to help people get up the steps. We tried to overlook it for the first two nights but ended our trip early and cancelled the rest of our stay as it just wasn't relaxing or enjoyable. Everything in the house is filthy. Not just a little bit of dirt but layers of filth as though this house hasnt received any sort of real clean in years. Rat droppings on the stove, dirty fridge, and the utensils drawer had a very visible thick layer of dirt and filth along the tray. The single beds were atrocious with dirty unwashed blankets. There was dirt and pubic hair along the top of the mattress protectors. Repulsive pillows on the single beds that were thin, lumpy and completely yellowed, covered in dark yellow and brown stain patches. Couch armrests had a thick layer of grime on them, even the carpets felt grimey and had patches of spills on them that had never been cleaned. The shower was also dirty. I dont have room to describe it all. This place is unsuitable to be rented out. A shame because it would have been a lovely and cosy little place to stay if any care had been taken to make ut hygienic. The fire place was the only enjoyable aspect. I took extensive photos for evidence as the owner made me go through the complaints process with VRBO. When I spoke to him about it he was rude and dismissive, and told me I was exaggerating.
