The charming pier has stood on this site since 1872 and remains an integral part of the local culture. Part of the pier’s charm is the rickety, wooden appearance of its surface, which is supported by wooden pilings. Stroll along the pleasant structure at sunset to see the darkening shades of the sky take hold. The United States flag is hoisted proudly at the end of the pier. Ride a bus to one of the stops at the back of the bay or take the Amtrak train to Ventura Station. Walk southeast from the station for less than 15 minutes to reach the pier.
