This rental is located just five houses from beautiful Pierpont Beach. Bring your bicycles and hop on the bike trail to cruise along the ocean. If you're looking for adventure, head to Ventura Harbor (2 miles) and board a boat to one of the lovely islands that make up Channel Islands National Park. Or you can take a leisurely drive to Ojai (17 miles) or Santa Barbara (29 miles) for a fun-filled day trip. After a day of fun, relax at this comfortable retreat, complete with a spacious back patio. Get comfortable in the beach-hued living room, outfitted with a sofa, cozy upholstered chair, and 42in flat-screen TV. The clean and compact kitchen is bathed in natural light. Here you'll find full-size appliances and ample cookware. This rental sleeps up to four guests between two bedrooms. Sleep soundly in a plush full-size bed in the primary bedroom. The second bedroom holds a twin-over-twin bunk bed and a small desk. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Make use of the fenced backyard and dine alfresco at the covered outdoor table with seating for four. There was no option of early check in or departure. There is a “common” storage area which included a barbecue, a canoe, and beach chairs that we were not able to locate. I contacted the property manager and they were not able to assist me. There is a “private” room of the owner that had a radio on the first night which made it difficult to sleep. Someone was sent out the next morning to turn the radio off. All in all, the location was exceptional and we’d stay in the property again. ##### Jon O. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property management decided to put on a new roof on day 1 of our 5 day stay. Thereafter the place was covered in dust & grit. Stove oven was broken. Toilet & shower were barely functioning. Beds were child size & bedrooms were also small. The photos of this place are very misleading. Small, tidy and yet comfortable digs. Being able to walk a few yards to watch the sun set is worth it. They also warn you in advance that here will be ants, and there were- nothing crazy and not due to cleanliness, but just constant little ants. And the location is really great - truly steps to the beach, and with its own spacious sunny patio. It also had a great garage fully stocked with well organized beach toys, surfboard, bikes, games and so much more. All in all the apartment itself is just not very comfortable- bedrooms much smaller than expected, primary bedroom needs a new bed, no dressers or luggage racks, and might need a few new towels to be rotated in since most were in good shape but a few were stained. The lock on the gate without a combo was a great way to start after our long drive. Should have been a sign. It was all downhill from there. The beach is SO close and we got to see a ton of sealife on the rocks at low tide. Ventura had a lot to offer for activities.
