This rental is located on floor 1. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). It was perfect for our family of five. We actually had Thanksgiving dinner on the back patio. The kitchen was outstanding with an amazing stove and an assortment of high-quality pots and pans. This place is just about a block from the beach so we could easily see the sunset after a short walk every evening. We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Ventura. Walking distance to local bars, restaurants and grocery store. The house has had some nice updates and the kitchen is extremely nice. The one small bathroom is nice as well and everything works as needed. The house does not have AC and tends to get warm in the afternoon/evening including the bedrooms. This was our first visit to the area and I was surprised at how close the homes were to one another, which later reminded me of the way sealife builds itself, up on each other, comfortable in each others company. The home itself has a very inviting front seating area, and a warm living room. We found out that AC wasn't an option when we got there, but fans were available. We did try opening the front windows, and they helped, but we never felt that breeze we were promised. When the front room got too warm, we cooled off at the beach or went into the back rooms that stayed cool during most of the day. The kitchen was fully stocked and the stove was roomy. The bathroom was small, but had good water pressure and lots of extra towels in the closet. There were lots of toys and treasures for the kiddos. The TV worked without a problem. Directions were helpful. The beds were comfortable. The location is wonderful, with the beach a short walk away and the town within walking distance. A few suggestions to help spruce things up, would be to wash or paint over the scuffs on the walls, check for cobwebs inside, by the outdoor shower and seating areas. The home shows its been well loved, but it also needs some of its wrinkles ironed out. Overall it was cozy and sweet. ##### Nese O. Any issues we had were immediately handled by the management company. The issues were minor. The front patio and backyard are lovely to spend time in. The BBQ was covered and cleaned before we arrived. The trees and bushes in the backyard were a little overgrown but trimming would solve that problem. Also, the hammock is no longer there just in case you were planning on using it. The kitchen looks new and is very well stocked with nice appliances and everything you would need to prepare multiple meals. Great little house close to the beach, with a private relaxing backyard. Unfortunately the queen bed was extremely uncomfortable which made for a long 6 night stay.
