I am pregnant and have little ones. We got in late and the room smelled so horribly of cigarette smoke. So bad we were not able to sleep well. Also very poor breakfast. Will not be staying here again.

Motel 6 Ventura, CA - Downtown
Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay and a bargain. No coffeemaker or hair dryer though, but a microwave and fridge. Location is walkable to the beach and pier.

Hotel San Buena
The hotel is absolutely lovely -- the staff were all kind and professional. We did ask about getting a different room that wasn't on the first floor in a dark corner...but the room was so cute we eventually didn't care. But if you book with a third party -- such as Expedia -- they won't upgrade or ...
