It is a tranquil, comfortable & fully equipped haven with heating throughout & a new reverse cycle air-conditioner and unlimited free wifi. Spacious, tranquil and fenced dog friendly garden. Linen (sheets and towels) provided. The upstairs is nestled among the treetops with sea glimpses. Swimming beach and dog walking beach are a short stroll away at the bottom of our street as are fantastic sunsets. The famous penguin parade is close by. The house has a comfortable lounge and a large outdoor entertainment deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full sized fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, double sink & washing machine. There is a split system heater/airconditioner plus a gas heater and additional electric heaters in the bedrooms.There are 2 TVs, wifi, DVD players, a table tennis table. The large garden has established shade trees & a wood fired BBQ. Bed linen is provided. Bedrooms consist of a double bed upstairs with balcony while downstairs there is a bedroom with a queen bed and room with a set of bunks. A port-a-cot, change table & highchair are provided. Ventnor is a semi-rural area surrounded by countryside, diverse, pristine beaches, is home to fantastic birds, sea life & wildlife. In winter humpback whales can at times be sighted. Ventnor has a a convenient general store, 2 farm cafes & and a winery. The house is close to the famous Penguin Parade and a short drive into the town of Cowes where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants, cafes and shops. There is a special event bus stop at our corner during major events on the island. PET FRIENDLY Please let us know if you are bringing pets when booking. Dogs are welcome. House trained dogs are welcome inside at Adrift at Ventnor. There is a large, fully fenced garden and undercover deck. The local beach is a short stroll from the house and the off leash beach is nearby. Adrift had all our requirements for our stay plus added bonus of local rabbit visiting the back yard and possums at night. Close to everything, loved the penguins, walks, caves, nobbies, woolamai, Churchill. Was all fantastic & we had great weather to top it off! Owner also sent message byo let us know of whale sightings & we spotted one that evening as we walked along Ventnor beach! Would highly recommend staying at adrift, very comfortable, good heating for winter, great yard for dogs. Everything provided in the house. Loved it!! ##### Sarah D. Secured fences for our dog. Unfortunately the cleaner, who was to organised before our arrival, hadn't cleaned. The owner contacted the cleaner straight away, and the place was cleaned. ##### Jane M. Unfortunately the house wasn’t well maintained and not very clean - grubby kitchen floor, curtains coming off the tracks, stained carpets, cobwebs every and the kitchen floor was really grubby. Worst if all was the very rusted BBQ which would have caused poisoning had wr used it. It is a severe health hazard. The electric grill was not clean enough to use either. Don’t falsely advertise the outdoor BBQ as an option when it clearly is not. Im thankful our friends couldn’t join us for a Saturday BBQ as the advertised outdoor dining is definitely not up to scratch and a disappointment. On a positive note however, the beds were freshly made up in clean linens and the towels were fluffy and white. Despite the bathroom being circa 1960’s, the water was hot and plentiful , the toilet was clean and flushed and there was no shortage of toilet rolls! Our dogs had a great time - they loved the yard, running around searching for the possums was such a thrill and great excitement. Such a pity the accommodations didn’t live up to expectations or the the photos on the Stayz site. With bit of TLC and some much needed upgrades, it could be a fabulous property as it’s in a lovely position. ##### Margi C.
