"The hotel was used as a stop over from Portimao to Santander. The hotel is small but very unique. It was probably an old mill converted 10 years ago. Only criticism is their website needs to be updated for the cost of evening meals. But the food was good."

"The only issue I have with this hotel is that I needed to sleep until noon, which was checkout time. housekeepers were very loud in the hallways. They were moving furniture and vacuuming in the room next-door to mine. I had a do not disturb sign on my door. Perhaps they should have started cleaning rooms farther away from mine? "

"I cant fault this place. It was so relaxing and the owners were helpful and friendly. Excellent room and breakfast. The restaurant in the small town was closed. So the owner kindly warmed us up a ready meal we had bought. He served it to us in the breakfast room and suplied beer and wine at a very reasonable price. Parking was just a few steps away from the hotel. Ampudia itself, is a very interesting ,small town, which is well worth a visit. I highly recommend this place and i cant wait to return"

"It was an amazing experience to stay there. Centrally located it’s in walking distance to most sites we wanted to visit as well as very close to bus and train station. Only place we ever took a taxi to was el Cristo del Ortero. Registration personnel was super nice and sweet as said they would love to visit us in the Pueblo next year. I was scared they would charge us for using the elevator so much but of course they didn’t. Oh they only turn the air conditioning on when it gets really hot but we opened the windows and it was fine. On our last night they did turn the air on upon request but we had to ask them to turn it off after a little while. Well I would definitely recommend this hotel! "
