Owner did not respond immediately and I didn't know how to get into the apartment causing me to panic. Also, it is on the 4th floor but the lights do not turn on automatically in the hall and stairs. The first night I had to use my phone to see up the stairs. There is a light at the bottom but the first day I didn't see it. Other places the lights have motion censors in the stairways.

Hotel Republika was a terrific option for my family. It is rare in a city to have a boutique hotel experience, complete with parking, that remains a short walk to the main attractions of the area. The space was large and well designed, and even had two bathrooms for a two-bedroom unit. Perfect combination of quiet/peaceful space to use as a home base, but close enough to walk to the heart of the city.

Very clean, super nice staff. Good breakfast. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Airport shuttle will leave you right across from hotel. Excellent .

"Close to Zagreb airport, free shuttle to hotel. Just called upon arrival and van was there very quickly. Also great that the hotel is just a short walk to the train station. I arrived late and left early, so did not get a chance to have a meal at the restaurant. There are a couple of flights of stairs. ..."
