and huge verandas in each room. Looks pretty new and everything is in very smart condition and rooms very well equipped. Methoni castle and town are a pleasant 25 minutes walk (or 5 minute drive) through countryside and then along the sea shore. There are plenty of good restaurants in Methoni and the hotel gave us very good recommendations. "

"Hidden gem in the Peloponnes! Lovely

; long enough to swim a few laps. Quiet rural area just 10 minute drive to Methoni and the beach there. Gorgeous self-catering accommodation (they’ve started doing breakfast hampers too); the villas arent on top of each other so you’ve got a very decent amount of privacy. And incredibly kind, warm and welcoming staff. We’ve stayed there three times already and will definitely be back. "

"Beautiful hilltop hotel. Off the beaten path with a great view of the town below.

was nice and had a bar to get drinks and snacks at. Senior suite had two bedrooms, living room, small dining area and small kitchen area. Town was a quick drive down the hill or a 15 minute walk. Town offered many options for dinner and shopping. Dinner at Elena Taverna was amazing. Highly recommend it. Buffet breakfast was very good. Many different breakfast foods to chose from. You won’t go hungry!"

"The villa was in a lovely location and the shared

was great, however the kitchen wasn't great. Thankfully we ate out mostly but there were only huge saucepans, 1 small vegetable knife, which was blunt and very little other than basic plates and glasses. It could do with a few extras. Also the sheets were direcly placed on the bed, no mattress or pillow protectors or undersheets."

If you want to swim in the sea the beach is part of the hotel and sheltered and clean with all the facilities close at hand - they give you a device to call for service so if you are feeling really lazy you don’t need to get off your sun lounger!
