Oscar Hotel is amazing they are very kind and friendly I definitely come back

The location of the hotel is far from most excursions on the island, so a car needs to be rented. If you don’t have a driving licence, I wouldn’t recommend staying here, as you’ll be stuck at the hotel unless you don’t mind paying for a taxi every time you want to leave the premises. We booked a room with a sea view, which was great to wake up to. However, there were cobwebs in the corners of the room. The hot water in the shower was hit and miss most days, and the shower screen wasn’t cleaned before or throughout the duration of our stay. Breakfast had a decent selection of food, but you often had to fight off wasps while trying to eat, particularly if you were sitting outside. The restaurant in the evening had a nice selection of food, and everything was cooked well, but the food was quite bland. Everything seemed to be garnished with chives, which became a little repetitive. Other than that, the service from the waiters was great. Most if not all excursions are cheaper if booked directly with the companies hosting not through the hotel. The aesthetics of the hotel was spot on, very picturesque as you'll see in the few pictures I have posted in the review. Overall the stay was hit and miss in most areas.

Die Unterkunft war ruhig und abgelegen vom Trubel in Laganas. Die Betten könnte man erneuern wir fanden sie leider nicht so bequem. Der Pool ist schön groß und es gibt genug Liegen.

Very lovely stay! I can recommend. Owners are so nice and helpful throughout the whole stay, happy to help you with anything! Great restaurants nearby, but we haven't tried the one in our hotel. Only because it was reservations only and we never knew what time we'll be back and didn't want to be restricted on our days out. The only tiny minus are mirrors. There's only one mirror by the sink and that's it. Wish there was at least another small mirror attached to a wall you could move little closed to you. For someone with contact lenses it was bit hard to see what I'm doing. But that's the only thing! Breakfast was delicious and lots of variety.

Stunning villa set in a beautiful & peaceful location. There is everything you could possibly want…and more…for a completely relaxing holiday. Spotlessly clean and well stocked. The rural nature means you will need a car but there are plenty of options for beach visits and for eating amazing Greek food nearby. John & Christina are absolutely exemplary hosts. Attentive, responsive, wonderfully helpful & friendly. They were always on hand with advice for the best places to eat and information on the island, but they are also very respectful of your privacy. As an example of how delightful they are - we were tired on the first day (having had a very early morning flight). John arranged for his niece (who was equally lovely) to bring us dinner from the restaurant she works at, up to the villa. What a lovely welcome. This set the tone for an absolutely perfect week in Zakynthos. We really didn’t want to leave and we hope to visit again. Our adult children want to come along too next time (they had serious FOMO!) and we hope to arrange this at some point in the future.
