For tourists (like us!) there is a “hop on, hop off” bus stop right across the street to give you an overview of the city. If you like longish walks, you can walk to the Stanley Park seawall, and it’s a short walk to Yaletown. There are good restaurants close by, and the building is next to a large hotel, so there are always taxis available. Some reviewers mentioned noise, and of course there are normal city sounds, but we slept soundly and had no issues. A lot of VRBO‘s don’t even have the basic necessities, such as a washer without any laundry detergent or a kitchen with no spices. The location is perfect. In between Stanley Park and Granville Island a little bit on the fringe with Saint Pauls hospital right next door, but a safe neighborhood and a doorman. There’s a free underground parking space which is great, although a bit convoluted as to how you get to it until you figure it out. The balcony is very pleasant. The city is literally & figuratively at your feet: you're high enough for interesting city views, and anything you might need (groceries, dining, transportation, entertainment, access to tourism adventure, etc.) is within easy walking distance. Unit was clean, well-kept, and cozily furnished (almost cramped, but NOT at all difficult to maneuver). Host was both proactively & reactively communicative. Not a single thing to complain about that was host/unit related. One small thing to consider for anyone with highly sensitive motion sickness or equilibrium issues (this did NOT affect my ratings because it's about me)... The windows are right at treetop level and the trees were flush enough with leaves in mid-June that wind caused them to wave around and trigger mild/small moments of vertigo when they were blurry in my periphery. This ONLY happened a couple times over my 3-day stay when the wind was strong enough to make branches sway (rather that just leaves rustle). It only happened in the living space, which has see-through shades; the bedroom has solid/blackout curtains. ##### Brandi B.
