On the quayside just below us is the new fast ferry terminal to Gozo (takes 45 mins, every 2 hours - foot passengers only) and ferries across to the Three Cities. The apartment has a balcony and large roof terrace, sleeps up to 6 people and is newly refurbished throughout with modern, stylish furniture and new appliances. Click on the photos section to see the interior, views and surrounding area (but our full 180-degree view was too big to upload!) The apartment sleeps up to a maximum of 6 people and has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and two double sofa beds in the living room. Modern and stylish bath/shower room, and a second guest toilet. The accommodation is spacious - 142 sq metres or 1,525 sq ft - light and airy throughout with traditional Maltese features such as the rustic wooden shutters on the windows and balcony doors. There is a separate TV lounge with 120-channel XLHD cable TV. There is free internet access with unlimited data usage. Ample bed linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. Large kitchen/breakfast room with lots of character (1960s retro-style) and a dining table seating six, fully equipped including coffee maker, kettle, toaster, washing machine, ironing facilities. We can provide a Welcome food pack containing tea, coffee and sandwich-making provisions for your arrival, if you wish. The apartment balcony is small but has a patio-size glazed ceramic and wrought iron table and two chairs - perfect for your morning cup of coffee. The roof terrace, however, is very big with an olive tree, oleander and bougainvillea plants, a large garden table and six chairs where you can take your meals al-fresco, and two sun-loungers with a parasol. Airport pick-up service by our own drivers. Flexible check-in times. There is a swimming area 10-15 mins away and the central area of Valletta is a simple walk. You’re close to everything. Great place to come for a long weekend, lovely people, good food, and amazing weather. We also popped over to Gozo for a day by the sea, and the apartment is perfectly located for catching the ferry. Easy communications and check in. We took up the offer of a pre booked taxi from the airport that was waiting our (very delayed) arrival. Apartment is one floor up 2 flights of stairs in a small block View from the kitchen and living room is of Valletta harbour, across the rooftop area of the neighbouring property, with the seperate roof top terrace giving an even grander view. Worth the 2 flights of stairs from the apartment. Property is a step back in time giving you the feeling of living like a local in a private home. Comfortable but not modern, homely not sterile. In the peak of summer the air conditioning was exceptionally good at keeping you cool. There is a small balcony off the living room that while a little cluttered offers a nice way to start your day with breakfast with a view. Washing machine came in handy, and an additional seperate toilet was a bonus. Wifi was easy to connect to. Short stroll down to the Gozo ferry and the boats to the three cities. Stroll up to the nearby bridge bar and up the steps to all that Valletta has to offer- property is on the edge of the main strip, just along from the upper Barracka Gardens. Perfect spot! One final call out- Sandra our contact for check in and check out was lovely and made sure we had settled in okay. She also provided grocery items for our arrival which was worth the small additional charge.
