"Friendly staff! Big spacious rooms! Slightly outdated and hotel parking is always full, but it’s a great place to stay! Very comfortable and clean! There are great restaurants within a 5 minute Uber ride! Highly recommend."

"Structurally dated but very practical and clean. The hotel is close to campus and BART, with plenty of nearby restaurants and amenities to choose from. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our initial room smelled of cleaning products, which made us uncomfortable. When we mentioned it, the staff immediately accommodated us by changing our room. We have stayed there many times and look forward to returning."

Archer Hotel Napa

"My partner and I booked the Archer Hotel Napa about three hours before arriving for a spontaneous overnight trip. We were happy to find something available downtown, and overall, the hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and in a great location. The staff was also friendly and helpful. We chose the Archer partly because of the rooftop fire pits and what appeared to be a pool. Unfortunately, when we went upstairs, a private event had completely blocked access to the fire pit area, so we weren’t able to enjoy it. The “pool” was also a surprise, it’s really more of a very shallow water feature where you can dip your feet. It’s probably great for lounging and tanning, but don’t expect to swim. We also had an issue with our valet-parked vehicle. When we picked it up the next morning, there was a distinct smell inside that wasn’t there when we dropped it off. I spoke with the manager, Jose, who assured me he would look into it and follow up, but unfortunately, I never heard back. The hotel itself is lovely, and I would consider staying again. However, if you’re booking specifically for the rooftop amenities, I recommend calling ahead to confirm they’re available. Also, keep expectations realistic regarding the “pool” and be mindful when using valet."

"I am a frequent visitor to this hotel. It is unmatched in the Bay Area. The staff is amazing they always go the extra mile to make our stay special whether it’s a last minute request for flower vases or slippers or something I forget to bring. The pool and weight room and hot tub are amazing and provide a country club like experience in the best way possible. The location is perfect a quiet pocket on the Berkeley Oakland border, close to campus and an amazing bakery and burger spot right across the street. I always feel lucky to have the opportunity to stay here with my girlfriend. It’s very romantic and relaxing."
