"Reception staff were really helpful when we arrived early,eg let us park in car park and use toilet. The apartment had a lovely sea view and a comfy sofa. It was plenty large enough for two people but did need updating. The bed especially so as it was creaky and uncomfortable, spoiling our experience to a certain degree. The kitchen was very basic and had no preparation space without us moving the microwave out of the way, it was in need of a major upgrade."

"Fabulous home in a beautiful, serene valley. You will definitely feel the love when you arrive here. We were greeted by the whole family bearing, wine, charcuterie, and a pineapple upside down cake. It is always such an honor to stay in one of these family homesteads. Lots of space, beautiful décor, amazing landscaping and views of the village. "We’ve had such a lovely stay at this lovely villa. It’s a very quiet area, with lovely views of the river. We were 3 families staying for the week, we thoroughly enjoyed the (heated!) pool everyday, we had a couple of days wakesurfing on the river Douro and a couple of trips to the beach and river beach. we also thoroughly enjoyed a cooked meal at the villa by Alda, she is a very talented chef. Check in and out process was seamless with a very smiley welcoming Alda meeting us at the property....

"Our hosts, Maria Eugenia and Jose, were amazing! Kind, informative, generous, helpful, I can't say enough about them. We stayed for four days, two couples in the larger home. It was spacious, each couple with their own bathroom. We ate most of our meals at home. Our comadre caught a cold right upon arrival. She had a comfortable place to read, rest and recover, while we enjoyed the pool and had such a wonderful outing in the boat on the Douro river. This was definitely a once in a life time...

It is located in a little town and is on a private street where we could park right in front. It was walking distance to restaurants and various things.
