Very charming hotel at the edge of the old city. Very good breakfast. I would stay here again. The only downside was the room was very small.

Everything was lovely, from the breakfast to the staff. I love small hotels and they’ve done an excellent job at maintaining it. Everyone was friendly and the location was wonderful.

This hotel provided false information that their rooms have windows that can be opened. In our original reservation for 1 room, we specifically messaged them to ask if the windows could be opened for fresh air for pulmonary reasons. They replied that “they can be opened upon request to allow fresh air into the room." We therefore rebooked for 2 Comfort Double rooms with full pre-payment. When we arrived we were assigned 2 rooms with windows that are locked because they faced a cement wall less than 3 feet away. There was no outside light or air circulation, and the “air-conditioning” which does not allow changing the temperature or wind strength, at no point actually cooled off the room or even blew air. As it felt hard to breathe, we asked the receptionist, Kreete, for other rooms. She said with a flat and stony facial expression that there was no other room. We showed her the saved message from Metropol confirming that the windows can be opened, which in this case amounted to false advertising. She insisted that Metropol didn’t make replies in third-party booking platforms and mocked that we should book from their hotel website directly, implying that those who booked from third-parties, such as Expedia, deserve inferior service. She passed us a business card to complain to the manager. The hotel rooms in general are clean and spacious with comfortable beds. While the free access to Jacuzzis and saunas is a good attraction, charging €3 for a towel is quite petty.
