"We absolutely loved our stay at Herdade Lago Real! ❤️ The property has everything you need, so we barely felt the need to leave. There was plenty to do, and we especially loved the karaoke night—it was so much fun! "Close to the beach, food, some shopping. Would rate the bed a 8 out of 10. A real well stocked Food Market is a close two exits down the highway. Aveiro is close and great to visit and ride the boats on tour. Order real coffee at the bar at breakfast or enjoy their herbal coffee at the table. Turn on the fridge with the knob when you arrive to start it cooling if you need that. Excellent breakfast offering. The beaches are amazing and the dunes are both beautiful and fun to climb. The room was adequate to get both suitcases on the floor next to the glass doors. Important: the shower in our room was not for BIG people. Specify that you need a roomy bathroom if you are a bigger adult. Nice downstairs sitting space for smaller groups 10-14 to be able to sit and meet together. Good for an extended family vacation. Free Parking on weekends was a bit dicey during the mid-day but in the evening we found spots near our hotel. The hotel has only four spots in their basement available. The beaches are uncrowded and beautiful."

"Quick key pick up in the store beneath the apartment between 4 and 6 pm. Both apartments are very clean and very well maintained. The big plus was the clothing washer machine. Walking distance to expansive Costa Nova beach, canal, fish market, mini markets, Multi Banco ATM, cafes, restaurants and souvenir stores. The popular Barra beach is only an easy 10 minute drive where you’ll find a big lighthouse, more restaurants and commerce, and a long sea wall that you walk on."

"We had the house and surroundings to ourselves. Great location and the best beach access. Whole stretch of beach to ourselves. The pool didn’t look as nice as the pictures and we nearly went the whole trip without using it, but on the last night my son and I used it for an hour. It was lovely and warm and the smell from the pine trees was lovely. The house itself has a wonderful glass room for entertaining. This room could benefit from a mirror. The kitchen has everything you need. Great fridge and freezer. Bedrooms lack air conditioning and there were bugs at night so windows had to be kept closed. Overall we had a great stay and wouldn’t mention that the property is a little old fashioned but it was on the pricey side so calls for a high standard to reflect the price. Host Amanda was great and easy to contact. We did ask for a late check out but felt the charge of £100 for a few hours was a lot or £200 until 6pm wasn’t needed."
