Tastefully decorated and well-equipped, Le Clos offers a spacious, open-plan living room/kitchen area, a double bedroom with large (150cm) bed, bathroom with walk-in shower, comprehensive AC, and original features throughout, such as natural stone walls in the bedroom and the living room’s expansive fireplace with wood-burning stove. Outside, Le Clos benefits from its own private terrace, a perfect setting for morning coffee or summer dinners en plein air, with a spectacular view across the vineyard and the Comtat Venaissin plain. You will also have access to the domaine’s shared pool, with its own beautiful aspect of the valley. Le Clos is located just outside the typical Provençal village of Vacqueyras – less than 5 minutes drive or 10 minute cycle – with its exceptional boulangerie, a butcher, grocery shop, as well as a local restaurant for traditional French cuisine, a bar, and takeaway pizzeria. The village of Gigondas, with wine bars and its Michelin-starred restaurant, is also a stone’s throw away, accessible on foot or in under 10 minutes by car. Neighbouring towns host markets throughout the week for fresh produce, local specialities, and antiques, and nearby Carpentras, Vaison la Romaine and Avignon are rich in history and cultural sites. Surrounded by the unique landscape of the Dentelles de Montmirail, there are numerous walks for you to discover right from the door of the gîte, as well as longer hikes, and cycle routes in the celebrated region of the Mont Ventoux. L’accueil de Luis et été excellent : chaleureux et attentionné. Henri nous a donné pleins de bons conseils pour découvrir la région et de très bonnes adresses pour nous régaler! Le gîte est très confortable, typique et nous a charmé pour son authenticité. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les beaux espaces extérieurs où notre golden retriever a autant profité de ses vacances que nous! La dégustation a été un vrai moment de partage. Il mérite une bonne note. Cependant il n'a pas répondu à nos attentes. Nous avions besoin de repos et ne souhaitions pas spécialement visiter les environs que nous connaissons déjà. Nous envisagions plutôt de chiller au bord de la piscine et faire des barbecues. Contrairement à ce qui est indiqué dans l'annonce, il n'y a pas de barbecue. Nous avons pu obtenir un plancha auprès du propriétaire... Au bord de la piscine, partagée avec les hôtes et les autres gîtes, il y a peu de transats et un seul est confortable.... La terrasse de notre logement manquait d'ombre. On crevait de chaud dehors. Et s'il pleuvait, on était obligé de rester dedans puisqu'il n'y a aucun abri à l'extérieur. Tout au long de la journée des gens passaient devant notre terrasse ; donc pas d'intimité. Mais le plus pénible était le tracteur qui nous réveillait le matin à 7h et tournait dans les vignes jusqu'en milieu d'après-midi. En plus du bruit, on a dû supporter les gaz d'échappement.... A l'intérieur, il y a tout l'équipement nécessaire. Il faudrait peut-être changer la disposition des meubles pour avoir la télé en face du canapé. Canapé très raide. D'ailleurs,aucun siège n'est confortable. La literie aussi est très très ferme. Il faut penser à ranger la nourriture hermétiquement sinon elle est envahie de fourmis ! Une odeur d'égout sortait de la douche. Si vous cherchez un endroit juste pour dormir, alors ça va, sinon passez votre chemin.... ##### Magali F. Die Umgebung ist ein Traum: typische, provencialische Dörfer in der Nähe, tolle Restaurants usw. Appartement war sauber und reichlich Platz. Einziges Manko vielleicht das Fehlen von Liegestühlen bzw. bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten direkt am Pool und auf der Terasse. Wir hatten nur einen von Anfang an vollständigen, der dann am Ende unsetes Aufenthaltes aber auch zerbrochen ist. Wir haben auch keine Wegbeschreibung für die Anreise bekommen, was mit Navi kein Problem ust, aber doch für den Notfall ganz nützlich wäre. Der Empfang und die Betreuung waren sehr freundlich. The bed is fine if you like a soft mattress. Lovely to sit there and watch the sun set with a glass of Henri’s wine. Excellent things to do in the area or to just chill and watch them pick grapes or use the shared pool.
