The best time to go to Urugarama is during the long dry season, from June to September, or the short dry season, from December to February. These periods offer the most pleasant weather for exploring, with less rainfall and generally sunny skies. This is particularly important for activities like gorilla trekking, as the trails are less muddy and the conditions for spotting wildlife are more favourable.Travellers seeking optimal wildlife viewing experiences will find these dry seasons ideal. The reduced vegetation makes animals easier to spot, and they tend to congregate around water sources. This consistency in weather allows for a more predictable and enjoyable trip, especially for those who appreciate high-quality outdoor excursions. While the wet seasons (March to May and October to November) might offer lush green landscapes and fewer tourists, the increased rainfall can make some activities challenging and travel less comfortable.
