"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"Das Familienzimmer Nr. 2 in der 1.Etage war super. Die Boxspringbetten sind äußerst bequem. Mein Hund war sehr herzlich willkommen. Das Frühstück war echt toll. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und geht auf jegliche Sonderwünsche gerne ein."

"Vi kom sent, så skrev til ejeren, som lagde en nøgle i en boks til os. Men hun kom ud og tog imod os alligevel, meget hjælpsom. Pæne rene værelser og indhegnet parkering. Vi fik en god nats søvn"
