They've just redone things and everything was super clean, the beds were comfortable, and the rooms were beautiful! We had one of the top floor lofts and literally gasped when we walked in with how nice the room was and how amazing the view was! There is also a really cool cafe/lounge in the first floor, and the hosts are incredibly kind and quick to respond to any questions or concerns you have. Not just because of the recent renovations, but because of how well they maintain the property. This place fully earns my CCN rating: Clean, Comfortable, and Near everything. But I’m giving it a CCN+! The view from room 580 is absolutely stunning, I woke up every day surrounded by the Alps. The apartment is spotless, cozy, and has everything you need for a perfect stay. You can walk everywhere, but if you’d rather not, Interlaken gives you a free city pass, yes, free public transportation all around the area! Don’t just take my word for it. We booked for 5 people and got the top floor suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, dining room and living room. The view from the living room is incredible. We would lay on the sofa and enjoying the beautiful Jungfrau mountain with its snow and glacier for hours. The balcony is expansive with outdoor furniture, and with million dollar view. The property was just remodeled with excellent interior and all new furnitures. Beautiful facilities, the room we got was quant but offered stunning views and the location is easily walkable, it gave us the ability to forget we had a car. You can walk directly outside and be on the river paths that lead you immediately into the heart of the town. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly accommodating and enthusiastically kind. There is no staff onsite—everything is supposedly “digital,” but the system is unreliable and frustrating. There’s no one to speak to when things go wrong, and getting any assistance feels impossible. The owner seems focused on cutting costs at the guest’s expense. You’re charged extra for basic things like towels, cleaning, and even creamer for your coffee—which you’re expected to buy from a malfunctioning vending machine. No bed sheet changes, no housekeeping, no service of any kind. It honestly felt like they were trying to squeeze every last cent from guests. The only redeeming quality is the location—right by the beautiful Aare river. But that’s not enough to make up for the lack of hospitality and the dismissive attitude of the manager, who refused to acknowledge simple issues (like the vending machine not accepting my card), instead deflecting with vague promises of calling a technician. Overall, this place felt more like a self-serve hostel than a proper suite. Food in switzerland is quite expensive, so we were able to save money by grocery shopping and preparing our own meals. Unfortunately, it was quite hot during the time we were there, with daytime temperatures around 85 degrees fahrenheit! We had fans, but no AC. We opened the windows for ventilation at night, but for some reason, there was no window nets! This allowed insects to come into our room which bothered us and especially our children!
