I booked and paid for a room through Expedia and drove more than 3 hours to stay at this hotel for my husband's birthday. Upon arrival, we tried to check in and was met by an incredibly rude employee who finished her cigarette before bothering to come meet me at the check in desk. She said she had no record of my stay, although I had confirmation and was charged in full for the room. She shrugged me off, said it wasn't her problem and offer zero help. I called Expedia who informed me that the hotel told them I canceled the room and I was not eligible for a refund since I canceled. I quickly checked my email to see that the hotel canceled my room and sent a really short response saying "canceled per your request". I didn't cancel a room that I drove over 3 hours to stay at. Luckily I was able to speak with Expedia and they were very helpful. They even ran into some issues and tried multiple times to contact the hotel to process my refund. They were told that the manager wasn't in, would be in tomorrow for several days straight. After almost a week I was able to get my refund, no help from the hotel. I'm very glad we didn't stay as the lobby was messy and very dusty. The staff seemed very uninterested in helping any customers at all. I expected a way higher quality of staff and hotel for the price they were asking. I will never, ever return to this hotel or support this brand ever again.

My verification was still pending even past the check-in date. The property took my money and refused to give me access to the property, and then is refusing to give me a refund. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. DO NOT BOOK.
