I would highly recommend Sergeant House. The rooms were very clean, beautifully decorated and good air conditioning. Lots of welcome extras included such as insect repellent, cookies, robes, sunhat and beach towels. The hotel is in a great location but set back from the road so lovely and peaceful. The manager was really helpful in arranging tours and airport transfers

Our room Suite 1 was fantastic with a beautiful view to the sea, you could listen to the crashing waves.

Had a brilliant time at Cocobay over Christmas and New Year. Enjoyed it so much, we stayed some extra days. Private beach is a small piece of heaven and i swam to jungle beach (about a mile) and that was super fun too. (can get a short rickshaw ride or walk also). Food was great, Sri Lankan or international cuisine available. Stayed in two different rooms and both great, clean and with sea and palm tree views. Lovel peaceful hotel - slightly away from central street , but handy for beach. The benefit of being away from centre is that property was well laid out and spacious - properties closer to beach and centre appeared to be quite cramped. Hotel had all facilities you could have asked for - including kettle on 1st floor verandah. We were in no rush to leave

My room was spotless and had everything I needed. The family that run it are friendly and kind, they can't do enough for you. A few minutes walk takes you to the beach, restaurants and bars.

The accommodation itself was fantastic, with very tastefully done rooms with lovely bathroom and outdoor seating area. The breakfast was also amazing and worth the stay just by itself!!! Finally, the customer service was second to none - nothing was tom much trouble for the hosts.

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely hotel. It has a really quiet and tranquil setting on a nice stretch of beach. There were a number of turtles in the sea just by the hotel. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had some nice meals at the property. Highly recommended.

Staff are fabulous, rooms lovely and overlook the sea. The restaurant is good - excellent range of dinner choices. While it is very touristy an on a main road, it’s right on the beach and not too noisy.

everything is made to make you feel welcome, the staff is wonderful, from the cleaners to the pool technician, the cooks , the people at the reception and the manager, thank you all for this lovely stay! the place is a little paradise on earth, the rooms, the restaurant, the swimming pool, the location, one of the best place we ever stay. 2 steps away from the beach, jungle, shopping, restaurants etc.., but away from the busy main street. will defitinely come back!

My wife and I spent four nights at this hotel and we were treated to a lovely suite overlooking the ocean. The trip was mainly planned to relax from the busy work life and this hotel delivered this perfectly. The seas were a bit rough at this time of year, so we had a brief dip at Jungle beach which is a 5 min walk from the hotel.
