Jackson's Barn Summar

Summary:
Jacksons Barn is a characterful two-bedroom stone barn near Coniston Water, offering a cosy open-plan living area with log-burning stove, a well-equipped kitchen, and two en suite bedrooms. One features a king bed, the other a twin room with two single beds. Outside, enjoy a private patio and shared garden with countryside views. With private parking and dog-friendly charm, it’s an ideal base for walking, relaxing, and exploring the Lake District.

The Space:
Jacksons Barn is a beautifully converted two-bedroom stone barn located in the quiet hamlet of Water Yeat, just a short distance from the southern shores of Coniston Water. Surrounded by peaceful countryside and framed by traditional slate and stone, the barn offers a warm and characterful base for exploring the Lake District.

Upstairs, the open-plan living and dining area is full of natural light and rustic charm. Vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and soft textures create a space that is both inviting and relaxed. A log-burning stove anchors the room, with comfortable seating arranged around it for cosy evenings in. The large wooden dining table is ideal for shared meals, board games, or planning your day ahead.

The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a fridge freezer, oven, stove, microwave, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, and all the cookware and utensils you need to prepare everything from breakfast to supper.

Downstairs, you’ll find two well-appointed bedrooms. The master bedroom features a comfy king bed and an en suite shower room. The second bedroom, a twin bedroom, hosts two single beds and an en suite bathroom, making it ideal for families or flexible sleeping arrangements.

Outside, a private patio and shared garden space offer views across the surrounding hills. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or a peaceful evening with a drink. The barn also has private parking for two vehicles and welcomes well-behaved dogs.

Guest Access:
Children are welcome! Guests have full, private access to the entire property, including both bedrooms, bathrooms, the open-plan living and dining area, the well-equipped kitchen, and a private patio with access to a shared garden. The garden is partially shared, but the patio area is private and for guest use only.

Check-in is via a secure lockbox located on site, and private parking is available for up to two vehicles.

WiFi is provided throughout the property.

A welcome bottle of wine is included with every stay, and one eco log with a firelighter is supplied for the log-burning stove. Additional logs can be sourced locally if you wish to purchase more during your visit.

Well-behaved dogs are permitted. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring a pet along for your stay.
