High Brow Edge Farm House is situated in the village of Backbarrow, 3-miles from Lakeside at the south end of Lake Windermere and the Windermere Steamers. The property dates back to the early 1700s, and it has recently been fully renovated to offer high-spec accommodation ideal for family holidays or friends to get away together. Enter the property through the porched doorway, into the beautiful and large open-plan kitchen and dining area that comprises a large solid-wood 8-seat dining table in front of the log-burning stove, perfect for a family feast. The modern kitchen offers a breakfast counter, modern appliances to include a dishwasher, 4-ring electric cooker and a double oven. Off the kitchen is the utility room, with a washing machine, WC and a door to the rear patio area. Additionally, off the kitchen is the living room with fabulously-comfy sofas, a log-burning stove and a sliding door leading to the rear patio and garden. Upstairs are four light-and-bright bedrooms, one of which benefits from exposed wooden beams, a roll-top bath in the bedroom and a separate en-suite shower and loo. All decorated to a high standard, in total, there are three double bedrooms and one twin bedroom plus the family bathroom with bath and shower over, loo and basin. All the bedrooms have large windows allowing loads of natural light in. There is loads of outside space for the warmer days, perfect for a BBQ or a few drinks while relaxing and taking in the spectacular views across the whole valley. Or bring the bikes and cycle the many local lanes. Accommodation Summary Ground Floor: Main entrance from the front garden and parking into the: Open plan dining & kitchen with a slate tiled floor, an 8-seat dining table, spacious kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven and hob, fridge and freezer and a selection of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.
