Fantastic cottage with beautiful views.
Fantastic cottage with beautiful views. Close to Windermere and some great walks. Husband did Gummers How twice for the spectacular 360° view. Just a couple of bugbears - the track leading to the cottage was really bad with lots of serious potholes, but we made it and so did the Tesco delivery van, so just needs to be taken carefully ! There was a problem with the downstairs bathroom - we were advised not to use the shower - no problem for us as the upstairs shower was great. We found it a bit chilly - it was November and it snowed whilst we were there, we were trying to get the heating up to 19 but it kept resetting itself to 7!We should have shared that with the owner who was lovely and I'm sure would have solved the problem.
