Ullapool Harbour

AWFUL STAY, ABSOLUTE HOVEL OF A PLACE Overall a very disappointing stay. Check in is confusing as the address given on Expedia isn’t the place you get the keys from. When getting to the other hotel, there was a reception closed sign (just after 4pm) at the desk and a number to phone. Not ideal when guests are to be expecting to check in. Upon eventually getting the keys, Robert was rude and not welcoming at all. Made us feel like we were an inconvenience to him for asking him to come to reception. Got to the room and the floor was filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Phoned Robert back to ask for room to be cleaned, advised no cleaners or other rooms available. So he said we could hoover the room ourselves with the ancient Henry Hoover. This isn’t acceptable to have to hoover our own accommodation we are paying £150+ per night to stay in. The shower head was covered in mould which we also cleaned, windowsill thick with dust and dead flies. Rug was stained and covered in dirt. Robert said we could get a full refund if we left the property straight away which wasn’t possible as we had plans the next day which was the reason for the stay. The property is also across the road from a karaoke bar which is open till 12/1am with loud music. Not the properties fault but something we should have checked before booking. Only good thing about the stay was proximity to train station/town centre.

Really nice! Heated bathroom floors, great shower, all toiletries provided! Afternoon tea was lovely. And dining was lovely!

First, it was lots of fun staying there! We had a top floor room with the headroom being a little challenging around the perimeter. The place was clean and comfortable with a very good bed and a spacious bathroom. The live music downstairs was a real treat! The location is very central in the old town and we walked everywhere the Inverness get on/off tour bus goes. There’s no on site parking, we used the nearby parking garage next to the bus terminal and library and just walked everywhere.
