This beautifully stylish villa offers luxurious accommodation with a wonderful fusion of traditional and contemporary Bali. Offering true harmony yet only 10 mins drive from Ubud centre, the cultural heartland of Bali. We look forward to welcoming you. THE SPACE You will be staying in our beautiful villa away from the ‘madding crowd’! This Internationally designed villa has been built with the upmost quality in mind. Surrounded by rice fields with gorgeous valley views you will be seduced by the peaceful location, experience true local culture and yet you are only an 10 min drive (3.5kms) from Ubud Palace (centre of Ubud) Away from the busy streets of Ubud, but close enough to go in when you wish to. If you are 1 or 4 guests, you will have the entire villa to yourselves. There are NO SHARED FACILITIES (Pool etc) and we are completely private. Easy road access to the villa and parking for cars. Guests always say their favourite things about Villa Saudara are our staff. It's true. They are so lovely. Headed by our experienced and knowledgeable manager Made (pronounced Mad-ay) who is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. He will be there to meet and greet you and to go through any questions you may have on arrival. He is more than happy to advise on tours, drivers, in house massages, spas, yoga and anything else you may require during your stay with us. We also have folder information regarding best Spa’s, Yoga Venues etc in the villa. AIRPORT TRANSFERS We can arrange airport transfers to & from our villa at a rate of Rp 450,000 per car per way. Please kindly provide us with your flight details (flight number & time of arrival) so we can make arrangements. It is best to use our drivers as they know Ubud and drivers from outside the area often get lost! If you are at alternative accommodation and require to be picked up from there, we can also organise this for you (price on application) BEDROOMS/EN-SUITE BATHROOMS We have 2 expansive and spacious bedrooms with beautifully comfortable King Size beds and luxurious linen. Each with their own ensuite bathrooms and air conditioned for your comfort. Each bathroom has a deep terrazzo bath to soak in, separate shower, toilet and 2 terrazzo vanities in each. Large built in wardrobes also grace each bedroom. One bedroom has a 'work desk' should this be required. Both bedrooms have safes. LOUNGE/DINING Light and airy ‘open plan’ design, allowing the outdoors to become part of the indoor living, we have designed all doors to fold right back inviting one to sit and enjoy the wonderful views over the private pool and valley with ease. There is no A/C in this area. Our guests find ceiling fans are sufficient here as the doors are preferred to be left open. Offering high-speed Biznet fibre optic internet and Satellite TV with Netflix. KITCHEN A completely fully equipped kitchen with marble benchtops, you will feel a lovely sense of space. Fully equipped with everything you will need during your time with us. BREAKFAST Relax in the knowledge that our lovely girls can cook you a delicious breakfast in the morning (we make amazing banana or green pancakes!) and will service the villa every day. If you prefer complete privacy, we respect that too. (Breakfast cost 75,000IDR (35,000 for child) per person We will happily provide a 'Floating Breakfast' for you if you prefer this option. (Cost 350,000IDR per couple) DINNER Our chef will happily cook for you 'in house' or if you prefer, or will deliver your choice from her menu (please note this is Balinese food only). Menu can be sent to you in advance. She also does a wonderful 'cooking class' for those wishing to know more about Balinese cuisine. Guests love to pre-order dinner for their night of arrival! DRIVERS Karma (our head driver) and all our drivers are incredibly knowledgeable and will happily advise on tours (half day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) you may like to experience. There are SO many attractions and cultural sites to visit. They are also happy to provide local knowledge about customs and history. They all speak English. For booking simply discuss with me on arrival. I can also provide advice on places to visit. OTHER SERVICES If you would like an ‘in house’ massage, we are happy to organise this for you on our professional massage bed. (Cost 270,000IDR per hour) Private Yoga Lessons can also be arranged. Please note that you will also be given a free LOCAL MOBILE phone so that you can contact Made at any time. However, we all use Whats app in Bali so it may be useful to download this prior to arrival. The area is rich in flora and fauna. Birds, butterflies, dragonflies frogs and little gheckos are daily visitors. You may be lucky enough to see the glow of our fireflies dancing at night! We are more than happy to assist you with absolutely any request. Ubud also has a complete plethora of restaurants ranging from amazing 5 Star Fine Dining to more casual dining experiences. A wonderful selection of organic/vegan restaurants also to be explored. You really are spoilt for choice! We have folders with our recommendations and all contact details in the villa for your convenience. We have an array of small cafes in our street (10-20 mins walk) if you want to eat 'local' and a hotel opposite which has a cafe. A huge selection of shops (from Ubud Markets to Designer), the famous Monkey Forest, Art Galleries, Cultural Sites and much more. All very near to you. This property is not suitable for children (under 6) due to the pool being unfenced. However, we are happy to provide nannies should you wish to bring your toddlers but be able to relax with peace of mind. We have a portacot and highchair for your use. They are nothing to be afraid of. In fact, they eat the Bali bugs, which is a good thing. Please understand that the tropics are always full of little creatures, and if this is likely to bother you you should consider a resort where they choose to spray their entire grounds to remove all the insects. Since we are also in a rural area, seasonal noises from the field from rice farming and local temples may carry across the fields. This is the paradox of visiting Bali - it’s a growing mix of modern and ancient which the Balinese themselves manage with a gentle and effortless smile. It’s really what makes this island special. Please note that our nightly price includes 2 guests (1 bedroom). Extra guests are charged at $30 per person per night. \- Q: What time is the Check-in policy? \-A: Please be informed that check-in time is at 14:00 by default. Arriving earlier? This Villa was a wonderful place for us to end our travels around Bali. Nestled between small rice paddies in the front and a lush jungle in the rear, it was ideal for sitting and listening to the wildlife in the evenings. The Villa was exceptionally well kept, and Made and his staff were extremely prompt in responding to our requests. We had the Villa's Chef cook dinner for us twice, and both times were fantastic. The Villa is also ideally situated, making an easy walk into Ubud, or to any of the other restaurants or shops along the road. Our driven, Wayan Locko, was great in helping us get to places that were outside of walking distance. We all wish we had a few more days to stay and relax at this villa! ##### Timothy G. I would give it 5 stars except for some items noted below.Plus points -Beautifully decorated. Absolutely gorgeous. Wonderful swimming pool overlooking the rain forest. Awesome staff! The Manager Made communicated extremely well by WhatsApp throughout our stay. 5 Stars for the staff!! What could be upgraded- 1) No air conditioning in the main living room where we spent most of our time when home. Several days, it was cooler outside but steaming indoors in the living room. We couldn't keep the sliding doors open to prevent bugs from coming in. Belinda, I would suggest installing sliding netted doors for air exchange. 2) the netting on the beds in both rooms needs to be much longer in length.It's too short thus mosquitoes come inside the netting at night and party on you. The 2nd bedroom does not have full netting at all. It's open in the back with no coverage. This could be easily fixed too 3) since the villa is right in the middle of the rain forest, we encountered some big rodents in the kitchen in the evening. 4) Great location for Ubud but the traffic was horrendous to get to Uluwatu or Ulun Danu. You are basically sitting in traffic for 3.5 hours to get around. Thus, although a central location, not the right place to stay at if you want to get to see sites away from Ubud. Granted not directly a problem of the villa,it does impact you as I didnt expect stresses of horrid traffic when on a vacation. Traffic is worse than NY! ##### Jodi K. It was perfect for us and all the staff were friendly. It was private and the outdoor areas were beautiful. We enjoyed the breakfasts each morning. Made the Villa Manager was professional and very helpful. We also used Karma as a driver and he was reliable and friendly.The villa was clean and so peaceful. The moment we opened the door we felt like stepping into paradise. Villa Kollibri, what a gem! Apart from the beauty, everything was so well organized, long before our stay. Belinda’s service is very professional and communication was always very clear and fast. We felt so welcomed when we arrived, and everything we wished for has been prepared. The communication with Made, the manager of Villla Kolibri was fantastic and the ladies who made our breakfast in the morning and cleaned the rooms were so lovely and helpful. My only hesitation in writing this review is that the secret will be out... Ubud is fabulous and Villa Kolibri Saudura is heaven on earth. The setting is even lovelier than the photos and the staff are a world treasure... and I have traveled a lot of the world!! Tucked away from the bustle of Ubud, this Villa sits nestled between a rice field and a jungle humming with wildlife. If you don't adore this space, then nothing will satisfy you wherever you go. We were absolutely blown away by this place! The outlook over the forest was breathtaking and gave a real sense of privacy. The villa itself is beautifully designed and tastefully furnished and had a lot more spacious than expected - it felt fresh and new! The location was the perfect distance from town to feel private and secluded yet still conveniently close enough to Ubud for restaurant meals and a spot of yoga in the morning. Close enough to Ubud to enjoy the shopping, dining and entertainment yet overlooking natural surroundings with the kingfishers providing the only distraction. The villa is well designed and the amenities high quality. The very friendly and helpful villa staff made our stay a delight. The finishing is second to none. Lovely pool overlooking the jungle below. Every thing has been thought of to cater for guests from being picked up at the airport to scooter hire ,wifi etc. the villa is not to far out of Ubud but far enough away to have a tranquil and peaceful holiday set amongst the beautiful rice paddy's . I have stayed in a few villas in Bali but have to say this one tops them all. With outstanding views beautiful decor the villa is a fusion of traditional architecture with modern interior design to perfection. We came to the villa to celebrate a family members birthday. It was perfect. Belinda goes out of her way to ensure your stay is memorable. From airport pick-up to Made organising motorbikes on arrival (so that you don't have to source) meant you slipped into holiday mode from the start. The villa is perfectly situated just a couple of minutes outside of Ubud. Location is perfect as it gives you the best of both worlds- the quiet serenity of the villa with its beautiful outlook is totally relaxing but if you fancy popping into Ubud for a browse or for dinner the short drive takes you through the local village and rice fields where you can envisage local life. Thankyou too Belinda for sourcing and providing contact phone numbers for restaurants, spas, massages and tours. We loved having the massage treatments on tap and in the privacy of our own bale. We also appreciated the inclusion of the mobile phone for our use as it meant it was so easy to book anything without using our overseas mobile. My husband and I absolutely loved our stay there and couldn't wait to return to the villa when we went out ( Ubud centre about 5 mins by scooter or car). The decor and fixtures and fitting are lovely, the staff so willing to please and with a backdrop of the jungle behind the infinity pool it so relaxing and peaceful! I've spent a lot of time in Ubud and have never had an experience like this. Sitting in that pool makes you feel like you are floating the in the rainforest! Beds are comfortable and clean, the bathrooms are huge with plenty of hot water and the staff are always there to help.
