Johnson family vacation 2023
We loved the house and location. Check in should be earlier and check out a little later. I wish we had known about things that were there for us to use, like a blow dryer, shampoo and conditioner, bodywash, coffee, sugar and cream, beach chairs, beach blankets and beach towels. It was nice having a washer and dryer with detergent so that we could wash clothes there. We didn't know about a bike either.

Great Stay
Valentina is a great communicator. She even called prior to our stay with some suggestions and news to make our trip go smoothly. The place is large, clean and has everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The location was convenient to the beach, some shopping and Huc-a-poos. We would love to come stay at Valentina’s again!

Perfect location
Valentina was great with communication. She was super sweet and accommodating. Her home was beautiful. Tons of nicknacks all over the home to view. One bed was extra soft the other two were a Little harder. Bathrooms were large and clean. Game room is nice, but no air in there. It was extremely hot. There was an extra fridge for food and drinks in the game room which came in handy. If you don’t want to take the long walk too beach gps south beach it’s a quick drive. Go to 14th and turn left for parking lot. Make sure you pay for parking. The porch is amazing. She has lights all around the front for you. I recommend putting lights through the walkway it’s really dark at night. Overall it was an amazing stay. Savannah was really close for shipping as well as Wilmington island. Derek’s dolphin tour is a must see!

This is the nicest place to stay. We were very pleased with the location. Everything was clean and so close to the activities of the island. We will definitely stay here again and bring our family. The property owner is one of the nicest people I have ever dealt with. She makes you fell like she’s family.

Warning...
The host called us half an hour before we arrived. She asked us how many people we were. I stated that we were 4 adults and 1 child but that there may be a night or two when there would be 5 adults and 1 child, as my sister lives in Savannah and might stay over if we did dinner on the island. The host then yelled at me for over five minutes. She was so loud that my son in the backseat overheard everything. She used the words "lies" and "liar" repeatedly. She was extremely aggressive and suggested that we may not be able to stay there. It was only when I started crying that she said that I had her permission to let my sister stay there. I felt sick and uncomfortable at the end of the conversation. The capacity for the property was listed as 6 adults and 2 children. As adding one more adult would have made no difference in terms of price or eligibility, I couldn't imagine why the owner reacted this way. Initially, I thought perhaps she had just been through a lot. She had shouted about her place being treated like a dormitory and people bringing pets when they shouldn't. But my husband later looked at past reviews and it seems she is extorting people for extra money. Her behavior has been so unsettling and aggressive that the police have been called. This is a pattern of behavior, and it is a terrible thing to be made to feel unsafe and insecure when you are far from home, especially when you have your children in tow. In terms of the house...First, she is right, pets are a problem. The living room smelled of dog pee and the blanket provided in the bedroom chest smelled strongly of dog and was definitely not washed between guests. There was very little space to put any personal items in any area of the house. There were surprisingly few hangers. Each person was issued one bath towel, one hand towel, and one washcloth for a six-day stay. The kitchen table was obnoxiously wobbly. On the bright side...She had a charming game room set up for children below the main level of the house. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The beach, which was within walkable distance, was lovely and uncrowded.

Thanks for renting my property and I collect money For Ukraine 🇺🇦 Because I’m from Ukraine and I support Ukrainian civilian people and army.I was not aggressive with you ma’am let me give you humor I’m aggressive only in bed.we don’t have any dog pee in this property,I understand you said not enough towels but there’s a washer and dryer in home to wash all your things including the towels,call owner next time and owner will give you extra towels or anything you need, Thankyou!

Short Walk to the Beach
Very nicely decorated house with a great beach feel in a quiet neighborhood. The owner Valentina is charming and very accommodating and has a great flare for decoration. The house is an easy 15 minute walk to the North Beach and Lighthouse and a longer walk to the South Beach. There are a couple of restaurants and many shops two minutes away from the house. The house is up a staircase, which is standard in this storm-vulnerable areas. The porch is not completely screened-in which was not a problem in February, but might be in warmer times of the year. The HVAC is located in a closet in the living area and was a bit too noisy for my taste.

Moms’ Getaway
Overall, our stay was enjoyable. The apartment was clean, had a nice sized kitchen, comfortable beds, and Valentina was very responsive to any questions we had. Our suggestions for improvements would be to have more seating in the living area, The apartment can sleep 8, but there are only 4 actual seats in the living area for people to sit. The other suggestion would be to add a few more kitchen items, such as some sheet pans, another sauté pan, more cooking utensils. We cooked most of our meals and had to make do without a few of these items.

It was a very nice house. The house was very clean and cozy. The manager was amazing and very sweet. I really enjoyed talking to her. There were lots of mosquitoes there and it would have helped a lot if the whole outside porch would have been screened in. This way we couldn't even sit outside on the porch cause of the mosquitoes. My friend there were were too many plants there tight around the house and that has made it worse with mosquitoes. It was a little walk to the beach so the house is not right on the beach, but if you drive over to the beach you have to pay to park the car. Most our overall stay was great.... Thank you for letting us stay at your house.

The outside pictures are a little misleading just on the size of the property smaller then what pictures lead you to believe but is still very beautiful inside very clean and beautifully decorated do not suggest this for families with teenagers or anyone going for a partying beach vacation. Ideal for couples. Beach is about 5 to 10 minute walk again its a quiet beach not many people some small local shops. Overall we enjoyed our time here

A little disappointing
Cons: The pictures that are listed are very different than the actual home. It feels very cluttered. There were lots of rules and these were tape ALL over the house. We were asked not to wear shoes into the home and had to take them off on the porch. The beach was quite a walk and there isn’t a sidewalk to get there. The beach was riddled with jelly fish. I’m not sure if this is seasonal or what but we never went back to the beach that was close to the house, we drove up the island to the public areas. Pros: The owner has lots of items stocked that you may typically have to buy. That was great! Dish soap, chlorox wipes, laundry pods, spices, coffee quality garbage bags. The house is also in walking distance from a few shops, a bike shop, coffee shop but some of them were closed during the week. Overall, we would go back to the area but unfortunately wouldn’t stay here again.

We loved staying at this fabulous beach house. It had everything we possibly needed. Our hostess Valentine was gracious and helpful with her knowledge of the Island. It was the best of both worlds. A short trip to the excitement of Savannah and a return to the relaxation of a beautiful beach home.

We had a nice stay in Tybee. Perfect weather. The house was very clean! The bedding was nice. The front porch was relaxing and the outdoor plants beautiful! It could use a little updating and some more storage space for the renters belongings. Enjoyed it!

The Johnson’s and Lane’s go to Tybee
The cottage was very welcoming and comfortable. Anything needed was provided (Paper towels, toilet paper, linens, towels, sheets). Valentina met us at the cottage and showed us around. She encouraged us to use anything she had in the home. She said we could call her at any time if needed. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

Perfect for Family
We stayed a few weeks at Tina's property. We found Tybee Island to be relaxed and just our speed. House was a few blocks from beach. We enjoyed being so close to the Tybean where we got coffee almost every morning. Also very close to Savannah and we enjoyed a few trips there to explore the area. Tina is a gracious host and we would certainly return. Thank you!

Great Tybee vacation rental
We have been to Tybee multiple times and this is one of our favorite places we've stayed. The location was great...easily walkable to beach and shopping/eating. Short drive to pier and Wet Willies..(at Wet Willies you've got to try the "BOSS" (mixture of Call a Cab, Wille Dazed, and Mango). The rental was plenty spacious and was laid out great. The beds were comfortable. The wrap around deck was a wonderful addition. We relaxed out there every morning and evening. The kitchen had everything you would need and was spacious enough for a few of us in there at the same time preparing breakfast.

Valentina's house was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We wished the weather would have been warmer to allow us to enjoy the beautiful wrap-around porch more. Her interesting beachy decor was very intriguing, and the gardens lovely. It was a treat to pick and eat grapefruit right off the tree!

Wonderful get away on Tybee
I booked this property to come down to Tybee for a research project coupled with a Valentine’s getaway with my husband. The property was perfect. Reasonable price, comfortable setting, very clean. This is a quiet neighborhood, very close to lots of good places to eat and some fun shops. It is a walkable distance from North Beach which happens to be my personal favorite at the Island as it is a bit quieter in high season. The kitchen is very well equipped and the host even provides basic spices, coffee, and tea. In addition you don’t have to worry about dish detergent, soap, TP. She has it completely set up. If you wanted to go to Tybee Pavillon, you’d probably want to drive. I could see this also being a great place for 2 or 3 couples to share or a family with young children as it has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.

Tybee Island second floor apartment
We enjoyed staying in Valentino's apartment on Tybee. This is a quiet neighborhood about .4 mile walk to a great beach, with access to shopping and food nearby. Valentino is a great host, she is so nice and helpful, and loved meeting her little dog Daisy. The vegetation and flowers including fruit trees are beautiful and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable although the pillows were really hard. The kitchen is clean and well stocked with food and cooking needs, such as coffee and olive oil, and the dishwasher and laundry worked very well. We spent a lot of time on a wraparound porch But, the decor and the furniture was not consistent with the pictures. The furniture needs to be updated, e.g. the couch and blanket in the living room was musty. Also, although the wifi was very good, the tv did not have cable, which is a drawback. This is an expensive apartment and for the price, we were a little disappointed.

Great beach cottage
This has by far been the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed. Val was very easy to get if needed (we didn’t need anything). Great location on the north end; walking distance to beach and Poos! Perfect for our family, as my parents live around the corner. House had everything we needed; bedrooms and bathrooms were good size. Porch was great for cooling down after a morning run or morning coffee.

The location was perfect. It was close to everything that we needed.
The owner was simply outstanding. I am so glad that we met Val. This lady is a very hard worker The property was in great condition with grapefruit and lemon trees. The neighborhood was quite. You could walk to the beach in just a few minutes. My wife and I actually walked from the lighthouse back to the property. I wish we could have gotten to know the owner a little better. She was such an interesting woman. When we go back to Tybee we will be staying there.

My expectations were exceeded. My husband and I stayed with another couple and we were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The neighborhood is quiet and people walking by were very friendly. The owner was very helpful. She took time out (about 20 minutes) to talk to us about places we could go and how to get to the beach. We were definitely pleased and would stay there again. Thank you Valentina!

Fabulous Time in Tybee
I am more than happy to refer anyone to Ms. Latorre property. It was exactly what we needed. She was attentive prior to arrival and was kind enough to allow us to check in early. Once we arrived, everything was clean and ready for us. Beds were comfortable, the salt life feel was perfect as well as the flowers and plants that made it feel like home. There was plenty of space for the five of us and perfectly located on the north end of Tybee Island which was nice for getting to the beach as well as into Savannah. I cannot thank her enough for allowing us time to relax and enjoy our time in Georgia. Happy to recommend others enjoy her home!

We arrived a few minutes early on our check in day and the owner was already there waiting on us. She showed us the property and told us if we needed anything to let her know. She did tell us the coffee maker was broken but went and got a brand new one and brought it up later that night. There were five of us and we all had plenty of room. We enjoyed our trip and the property.

Horrible Experience! Run!
The day we were to check in, I received a call from the property owner, Valentina. She said she wanted to meet me at the property at 4 to go over some "rules". I said ok?! I arrived on time promptly at 4pm. She was not there. I waited til about 6pm and decided I wasnt going to wait any longer that my vacation had started and I needed to make a grocery run. My friend and I left our teenagers (14) at the home while we went grocery shopping. I recieved a frantic call from my daughter who told me that the home owner was walking around the wrap around porch looking in the windows and around. She then proceeded to tell me that the home owner rang the doorbell and when my daughter informed her that her parents were gone, the home owner said well, I need to come in and check something, so unfortunately my daughter let her in. My daughter said she changed the temperature on the thermostat to 74 from where we had it at 72. I was upset and called her and she said she would be waiting for me at the home when I returned. I dropped everything and drove back. She was standing in the driveway waiting for me and was very pushy about wanting to come back up into the house to go over these "house rules" that were NOT posted on the listing when I booked. She proceeded to tell us that we couldnt wear shoes in the house ( no big deal) no loud talking after 10pm, couldnt use the garage which was listed as an amenity on the rental agreement, and then said after 6pm I had to park behind my friends car because she LIVES IN THE GARAGE AND HAS TO BE ABLE TO GET IN AND OUT. There were several other "rules" but I'll spare you! She also counted us and said we had 1 extra person even though we told her we had over 20 people staying on the island between 4 families and that the "extra person" was a friends daughter that came to hang out. When we told her that this was not posted on the listing or on the rental agreement, she yelled at us and told us to stop complaining. I told her that regardless of all these new "rules" that my main concern was that she walked into the home without an adult being present. She leaned into my daughter and tried to get her to stick up for her saying she just had to check something. She made us feel completely uncomfortable and I could not trust that she wouldnt do it again or come into the home when we werent there. A police report was filed.
