We had all of our comforts of home in a beautiful cabin in the woods of New Hampshire. The view of the river from almost every window made for a calming experience. The house guide book that was on the coffee table, which mirrored the app was incredibly thorough and helpful. It had answers to every question we could possibly have had about the house. Mark, the host, was very communicative and quick to respond when we reached out. Accessing the house with a code sent to us in advance made our very late night arrival incredibly smooth, which reduced the stress of getting 2 toddlers in and straight to bed. The location is beautiful and for the most part, private. There is a nice trail next to the river but it also draws lots of fisherman and the parking lot for it is across the street from the property. Great place to fly fish as well. When it comes to all the family theme parks and activities it’s perfectly located with travel under a half hour to almost everywhere. Our family of four, including two grown kids, enjoyed our Thanksgiving by the river and hiking trails. So cozy and had everything we needed. Nice fire pit, but we had to go find a place buy firewood ( not provided) Would have been helpful to know it was provided ahead of time. Perfectly located near Mt Washington hotel and Bretton Woods. No need to drive to a hiking trail, there is one near the property used by snowmobiles, snowshoeing, hiking. Mark was an excellent host- communicative, welcoming, and full of excellent information/advice about local attractions and restaurants. The cabin was cozy, perfectly clean, well-decorated and recently renovated, with everything we needed for our stay. A picturesque river runs right along the property with breathtaking falls a short stroll away. The soothing sound of the river was always present from the property. Mark’s place is convenient to many trailheads for hikers, and close to all local White Mountain attractions. We truly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return! Strongly recommended!! ##### Jay H. Right outside the door is a small patio with table and chairs for morning coffee as you sit and view the river and mountain. A mile long trail runs down the river to some impressive falls. Great for walking the dog in the morning. The river cabin is the perfect mountain base camp for a couple or (very) small family. The house was spotless and comfortable and has brand new appliances that worked great. We loved the patio and ate breakfast out there by the river every day. It's about 20 minutes from Franconia Notch State Park and close by to everything else you might want to do in NH. The setting on the river is picturesque, but you should be aware the house is not remote. It's right next to a trailhead popular with fishermen and right off of a main road. During daylight hours there were usually people parked on the road next to the house often gearing up to go fishing and you can definitely hear the truck traffic on the main road. But there are advantages to that too! We got to check out the river on the trail and being near the main road made it really convenient to get around. Also, there is only one private bedroom and the twin beds in the other bedroom are situated such that you have to walk past them to access the bathroom. Wasn't an issue for us with our heavy-sleeping kiddo. Overall, we loved our time there and will be back. We plan to return during foliage season soon! ##### Ben S.
