"Remodeling going on but great stay!"

"Small cabin was great for the 2 of us. We had ridden up on a motorcycle to ride the Talimena Scenic Byway but was rained out. The cabin was cozy and comfortable as we stayed through the rain. We were visited by squirrels, humming birds, and deer. We were lucky enough to see the deer in the afternoon and evening. The creek is a short walk across a pasture that we saw a raccoon getting water, fish swimming, geese and ducks. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Bathroom was functional with good hot water and stocked with shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. Great for a couples retreat. Host were helpful and communicated very well."

"Great place to relax. Host was very nice and communication was great. Great location if you want to hike the Ouachita Forest, visit the Wegner Crystal Mine or just get away from the cities. You’re also only about 1 hour away from Hot Springs where there is the Garvan Woodland Gardens, mini golf/family activities and the Coleman Crystal Mine."

"We stayed here over Easter with two families and couldn't have been more pleased.Come light — the kitchen is exceptionally well-stocked with appliances, cookware, and seasonings. We overpacked as usual and barely needed any of it. A Dollar General just 3 minutes away covers anything you might still be missing.The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, and there is genuinely room for a crowd. The beds earned high marks from my wife.Amenities are a real highlight: a well-maintained swimming pool, a hot tub, a beautiful pond stocked for fishing, and a stream running alongside the property that's perfect for a family hike (watch for snakes in warmer months). Inside, you'll find board games, Roku TV, and solid Wi-Fi if you need to sneak in some remote work.The setting itself is the star. We spent our mornings on the front porch with coffee, watching cattle graze across open fields. The night sky is stunning — big and bright, even for us Texans.The home is close to Mt. Ida and makes for an easy day trip to Hot Springs or Mena. It is well-maintained, loaded with amenities, and a genuinely relaxing retreat for families.Highly recommended — we would absolutely stay again."
