Hotel is beautiful - views across the vineyards from infinity pool are stunning. Rooms are very well appointed, great bathrooms and free minibar a nice touch.
However - only negative point - the service was *excellent* by the staff - I cannot fault the effort by the people working there ... BUT - they felt understaffed across hotel. 1 poor guy/girl working pool service for 16-20 people on beds. 1-2 boys or girls on front desk with no porters to help luggage so they have to do that. It took a while to find someone to check us in. Also had trouble reserving a table for dinner as the online site wouldn't accept my mobile number. When you find a staff member and ask to make a reservation, they say yes, got it, but nothing happens.
Apart from that 10/10 for everything. Great beer and food. Very lively and busy place but quiet upstairs in our room which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Highly rated.

Lovely calm and peaceful hotel set in beautiful vineyards. Very comfortable room (slightly overdone air con), great service and good breakfast. Easy location to get to lots of destinations of interest. Highly recommend.

Warm welcome and a quick check in. Everything was explained helpfully.
The chalet was big enough and clean and comfortable. The basic catering amenities were good. Nice bathroom.
Parking outside the chalet with the beach 200m away. Nice and quiet.
Highly recommend.

Boathouse Resort was great. Friendly reception staff. Very comfortable, spacious room with a fantastic spa bath. Kitchen area was a bit small - not much space to do anything once the kettle, coffee maker and toaster were all out, but it’s manageable. Only real negative point was the WiFi - not great.

The best time to go to Tuerong is during the warmer months, specifically from late spring through early autumn (November to April), to fully enjoy the region's outdoor attractions and vineyards.
These months offer pleasant weather, ideal for exploring the local wineries, enjoying the beaches of the nearby Mornington Peninsula, and participating in outdoor activities like golf or hiking. The grapevines are lush, and many cellar doors and farm gates are in full swing, offering tastings and experiences.
For couples looking for a romantic getaway, visiting in February or March can be particularly appealing. The weather remains warm, and it's harvest season for many vineyards, often leading to special events and a bustling, yet relaxed, atmosphere at the wineries. It's a great time for leisurely lunches with vineyard views and exploring the charming local towns.
Families travelling with children might find the December and January period, coinciding with Australian school holidays, to be the most convenient. While it's the peak season and can be busier, the warm weather is great for visiting the nearby coastal towns and beaches, with plenty of family-friendly activities available.
