beautiful property near Saguaro NP
The Bunkhouse is a single-width modular house in a lightly-developed area just outside Saguaro National Park. The house itself is small, clean and very well-maintained with a full-length covered porch that affords great views of the owners beautifully situated property. The factor that earned this property our highest rating is the owners obvious care for the property and their generosity. There is a grapefruit and and an orange tree just a few steps from the door and the owner invited us to pick the fruit freely. There are no laundry facilities in the bunkhouse but the owner gave us full access to the washer and dryer in their house just across the driveway. The bed was comfortable and kitchen was very well provisioned. We cook at least one or more meal a day and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. The cable TV & WiFi were easy to use. What makes this place special is it's location in a natural setting. We saw dozens of kinds of wildlife, especially birds, from the big porch. In spite of the remote setting there are grocery stores and restaurants just 20 minutes away across the park. This is a beautiful, clean comfortable little house in a gorgeous location run by a couple of very conscientious hosts. If that doesn't merit 5 stars, what does?

Restful Adventure
A week was just an introduction to all Tucson had to offer including our accommodations. The Bunkhouse is truely a home away from home.The space invites you to settle. We love to explore and this was the perfect place to reboot, restore, rest and start again.

Picture Rocks Find
Cozy home that is spotless and well cared for by the hosts. Orange blossoms in bloom added a very nice welcome to the yard. Bed was very comfortable and spouse loved the recliner in the living room. Kitchen well appointed with everything you need to cook, including a full sized refrigerator. Hosts are well acquainted with the area so if you have questions, they’re happy to help. Great place in the northwest part of Tucson.

All we needed.
We had a wonderful stay at this charming property. My friend and I enjoyed having our morning coffee on the large front porch while listening to the birds singing. Lou kindly offered us oranges that were growing on the tree next to the house. They were the best oranges I've ever had.

Coming Back
My wife and I were very comfortable at the guest house. We were escaping the Iowa winter and attending the rock, mineral and fossils shows. The property was very well maintained and the amenities made it feel like a home away from home. The rural setting was very relaxing. Ozzie and Lou were excellent hosts. We have already scheduled another month with them next year.

All the 5 star reviews were merited. Nice access to hikes in Saguaro N.P., which does indeed have nice hikes! Good places to sit and enjoy surroundings around the bunkhouse.

Home away from home
I've stayed at a number of places when visiting Tucson and this is by far the best. Great place! Very cozy and comfortable. Slept great. Had everything I needed and was very clean.

Right outside the National park
Great spot with Seguaros all around. Park under a carport. The deck on the bunkhouse was huge and seeing all the critters outside was nice. Very close to hiking and the visitors center. We had everything we needed inside.

Scenic property
Arrived late at night and Lou was kind enough to leave the door unlocked for us. The Bunkhouse is cute and comfortable with basic necessities. Was nice sitting on the deck watching wildlife. Cons: busy road close by and a lot of neighborhood dogs barking day/night. No big deal as it didn’t ruin our time.

Wonderful experience with the Cacti...
I loved the property...lots of cacti. The grounds had paths so I was able to walk around and see the landscaping. The deck was wonderful to sit on in the AM for coffee. Lou and Oz greeted us as we arrived. We left a bag and Lou called to let us know before we got out of town. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

We were there for a month. Lou and Oz were great. I could not believe how organized everything was. They thought of everything we would need and more. It was awesome sitting on the porch seeing the beautiful sunsets. And enjoying all the nature around. Felt very at home in the bunkhouse. Would recommend this place to anyone.

A WONDERFUL place to stay & explore the Tucson area/Sonora Desert
I rented this home with my younger sister and my 10 year-old grandson. We had a delightful time staying at this quaint property surrounded by gorgeous desert flora. The Bunkhouse, as it's called, had everything we needed to keep us comfy and cozy. We enjoyed many hours swimming in the pool and relaxing on the patio surrounded by palm trees and cactus just as pretty as any fancy resort I've been to. At night we enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the Sonora Desert sunsets and listen to animal sounds. The hosts were just as wonderful. They were very friendly and checked in with us several times to be sure we had everything we needed. I wanted this trip to be fun, relaxing, and educational for my grandson as we all explored this wonderful part of the world, and The Bunkhouse property was integral part in making that happen. I highly recommend this property and am already planning on renting it again for a future visit with my husband.

Perfect for us
This is a wonderful rental accommodation if you are looking for a quiet , out of the way place. Large yard, deck to watch the sunset and wildlife, very clean cozy accommodation with well stocked kitchen and linen closet. Close to hiking near by at Saguaro National park.. Both hosts were very accommodating, friendly and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come back here.

Quiet retreat
Our overall impression of this property and host was great. We loved the beauty that surrounded us and the trailer was so cute and perfect for two of us. I just want to point out for a future guest that if you intended on using the pull out sofa to sleep on as I did, it is not comfortable at all. I could not use it.

Lovely vacation and property!
We stayed here for 3 nights over a long weekend, and loved it! Perfect place to stay if you want to be near Saguaro National Park! The property is beautiful, with cacti right in the yard along with grapefruit and orange trees. Clean and cute place to stay!

A well maintained mini home in a great spot to be close to the Hugh Norris trailhead. The hosts were very welcoming and the orange and grapefruit trees were a nice bonus. The corner store just down the road is well stocked and saved a trip back into Tucson for groceries.

Picture Rocks is Picture Perfect
The owners Lou and his wife Ozzie are fantastic hosts. This property is a little bit away from the city, but that's the appeal. Nice and quiet. Very close to the hiking trails of Saguaro National Park. And within an hour to hour and a half drive to many other local attractions in the Tucson area. The bunkhouse had all the comforts of home. Nothing else needed except the food you need to supply on your own. I highly recommend this property if you are stahying in the Tucson area.

AWESOME, GORGEOUS, AMAZING!
If I could stay here a million times, I would stay a million and one!!! Ozzie and Lou were wonderful. The Bunkhouse was adorable, so comfortable, and my Sister and I felt right at home. Critters were abundant from Coyotes, Roadrunners, to Bunnies, Lizards(Salamanders, Humming Birds, Hawks, Doves, and more. This was a dream of mine from childhood and it met and exceeded all of my dreams!! Thank you Ozzie and Lou from the bottom of our hearts.

Anniversary Getaway
My wife and I loved staying here, it was perfect a great location and awesome host to add. Our mornings and evenings were spent on the porch enjoying the wildlife and solitude of the area. Lou and Ozzy our host welcomed us with open arms answered any questions, made us feel right at home. The house was located in a perfect spot right off the main highway but secluded at the same time. I suggest this property for any couple looking for a quiet, private getaway we will definitely be back!!!!!

Best Location to hike the Park
These two! Everything about the property was Arizona. There were amazing additions to the home and the property that were so fun to discover. They met me when I first got there, but I had everything g to myself, including the pool. It took about ten minutes to get to the trailhead, and about twelve to get to the visitor’s center. I will certainly be staying here again.

This little cabin was absolutely amazing! So close to Saguaro National Park it was very easy to get up early and start hiking. The pool was also a very nice feature to cool off after a day of hiking. The cabin was clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed for the kitchen and the bathroom. The hosts were super easy to communicate with and left lots of information for the surrounding area. I would absolutely stay here again. PS spend some time on the front porch in the morning and evening to see so adorable local wildlife.

Lou & Ozzie are wonderful hosts, they respect your privacy & are also available when needed. The Bunkhouse is very well appointed & comfortable. The porch is so inviting Dawn to Dusk. It It is a bit of a trek to get there but for us it was worth it. Nature is all around yet it’s essentially in a neighborhood. We were in Tucson for a memorial service which we helped to coordinate. L&O came thru for us so many times supplying our unexpected needs. We felt very well tended to.

Perfect get away
We were looking for something other than a hotel, when I came across this little bunk house! It was a perfect place to relax,recharge and catch up with an old friend. We were able to go to the Saguaro NP and also check that off our NP list.
