Minimum length of stay 4-5 days (depending upon the season). The property resides inside the gates of the acclaimed Lodge at Ventana Canyon Resort community. Ask us about short and long-term membership options for use of the Spa, Fitness, Pool and Dining rooms (breakfast, lunch and dinner), golf and tennis. We have another high-end property at VRBO #590099 Visitors describe this as an absolutely magical place. What separates this property from other rentals, besides the phenomenal views, is the quiet and privacy. The feel you have here is unparalleled. Most renters become repeat renters, the longest 11 years in a row). Despite being within the Ventana community, the private drive and 3.6 acre lot, and the way it's situated in the mountains, allows for a sense of a complete get-away. Other homes may be in the mountains, but don't offer the feeling of a real getaway, while actually being close enough to the action. With views that extend to the edges of the surrounding Tucson mountain ranges and beyond you can enjoy Golf course, lake, and national park views right from the three decks and patio. Quiet, secure, private and safe, the 3.6 acre, mountain property features 24/7 guarded, video-monitored entrance through the Lodge at Ventana Canyon and a separate, private drive with gate to the house. Full, monitored security system and ANSI-level 1&2 locks & security doors. The home has a private pool with a Helicol solar heating system. The Lodge at Ventana Canyon has extensive facilities, including a resort pool with bar, Competition-sized, heated pool, with pool house and cabanas. Golf (ranked in the top 75 in North America), Tennis (ranked in the top 50 in the world). Ask us about Spa and Dining availability and guest/member rates. This can be set-up prior to your arrival. This is a full-time, rental property, not our residence, so it's free of clutter and personal effects. Owned by a physician, it's super clean and has bleachable towels and linens. High-end electronics, four, fast Wi-Fi 6 routers, and nice decor. Original artwork. Three bedrooms, one king in the master and your choice of two extra-long twin beds or king beds in the other two bedrooms. One full bath with two-person tub, separate from the (two person, two-head walk-in) shower. One three-quarter bath (shower, no tub), and one half-bath. Full bath connects to master bedroom, and 3/4 bath connects both to a bedroom and living room. The two showers have (head-height) windows, which open to the outside. All three toilets have bidet attachments. Full kitchen (with extensive assortment of utensils, pots, pans, storage containers, cleaning supplies, spices, etc). RO water filtration for drinking and the icemaker. 4 refrigerators total, and gas grill with outdoor dining. Laundry room with various soaps, cleaning supplies, rags and an iron. 2.5 car garage with tools, bags and an extra refrigerator/freezer, and second washer/dryer. No noisy neighbors or roads. Attention to details and highly functional. The input from scores of past renters has taught us to furnish the home with extensive amenities. Just a few of the examples include: propane grill, 4 TVs, full home wi-fi coverage using 4 eero mesh routers with super low latency for video conferencing, fully stocked kitchen, two sets of washers/dryers, 4 refrigerators, two hot water heaters, whole home water purification and softener. Surge protector strips in each bedroom so you don't have to reach behind furniture to plug in, about six different types of pillows to fit all needs, a small table to set things on near the front door, rags, cleaning supplies, shampoo, soap, tissues, candles, dimmers on most of the lights for creating moods, tools, first aid kit, and so much more. The house has original artwork, custom mirrors, and new, solid wood furniture. It includes a custom, comprehensive renter's guide with instructions on the operation of the house, appliances and entertainment, room-by-room inventory list, along with information of attractions and the best dining. Do we tell everyone how great and clean the property was and how every view offers breath taking views of cactuses and mountains? We had a small family gathering and it was perfect. Had to work while there and loved the view. Couldn't have asked for a better place. We have stayed at lots of rentals and this one ranks in our top five. The location was spectacular and our multi-generational group had plenty of space to enjoy our stay in Tucson. We knew we wouldn’t be hiking, so it was nice to be surrounded by the nature of the desert on the patios. We spent hours on the 3 balconies' enjoying the beauty and serenity of the home's location. The home itself is also spectacular and very well appointed. A "must do" for anyone whom wishes to stay at Ventana Canyon (a 1st class 5 star resort, and this home made our long weekend even better than staying at the resort ever could have). ##### David L. Jason, our host, could not have been more accommodating. His home was exactly as described and offered us a superb vacation. We would recommend this home to those that want to stay away from the hustle and hustle but yet have that hustle and bustle readily available. It is literally on the side of a mountain and offers spectacular views in an exquisite home. The one lane paved switchback driveway takes some getting used to but it is in perfect condition and easily negotiable. ##### David A. All the important things that every house should have for your stay were there. On top of that the house was incredible and had unbelievable views of Tucson down below as well as the natural landscape of the Arizona desert. The location is a perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility. I can't imagine you'll do better than this place if you're looking to stay in Tucson. I highly recommend it. ##### John K. We stayed at this house for a week over Christmas to get some sun and enjoy extended family who also live in the Ventana area. The location was perfect for us as close to our family, but it is a little far from the main roads (you have to drive through the resort neighborhood and then exit/enter through the gatehouse every time). The house is high up - the views are incredible! As an early riser, I enjoyed coffee at sunrise and watching the city below slowly light up. Sunset was even more spectacular. To get up to the house, you do have to drive up a very steep, curvy driveway. This was a bit nerve-racking for some of our family who don't like heights.The house was great for us. The interior is slightly dated but very clean and functional. The kitchen had everything we needed - was quite well stocked- but is slightly small for a large group if you were planning on doing a lot of cooking. Overall, we would stay there again (and might)! Jason was great to work with and very accomodating - lots of communication and responded to questions quickly. ##### Cate B.
